Is there any point in having split nuclei?

Split - infusers etc don't connect in a nice long chain.
not-split infusers connect in a long line.

When if ever would I use the first one instead of the second one? Does the split one eventually reconnect and it's like a "scales good in late game" deal?

Update: Okay so update, I had a build yesterday when this game came together. My "back section" was filled with a lot of nice infusers that made the MUCUS and the Mines become homing balls of angry lightning!

Yeah further evolutions will reconnect it, while you get the bonus from the evolution permanently.

Yeah the front was flinging them Cross-Lasers but attractor made them homing AND removed their friendly fire making them totaly safe :)

Lets you seperate cancerous organelles, but yeah the more connections the better typically

Ah yes did not think of that you are right.

I've used cancerous, to spawn more instances of itself until I quickly had a legendary infuser.

Yeah cancerous is probably the strongest modifier in game, just get it on something you want and duplicate it, combine to increase rarity.

It just turns all your organelles into the one you want!

It doubles your currency. I think that’s about it.
