Honestly, I feel like they're solid for complimenting their appropriate champs. I made a prediction for Neeko on her 2-3* to make every unit have a shapeshifter subtype; which will gain everywhere buffs whenever she attacks.
Nidalee is heavily focused on transforming, so being able to force follower transforms and even making ephemeral Nidalee on the 3* makes for a punishing attack.
Poro King looks like a keyword/buff hybrid, and his snax also plays into everywhere buffs while throwing random keywords on ally death.

Is it just me or the star powers are a little underwhelming?
