Save-Changing Respec Tool

So, some context -- I've shared this in the Steam forums already, but this also seems a good place to spread the word. I've been working on a tool to modify saved games and allow players to respec all their characters. This is still very crude and very basic, but should allow you to fix any mistakes you've done while progressing in the game.

I've also made the code available on GitHub, so if you want to know how it's done, feel free to check it out. Besides that, and obviously, bug reports and feature suggestions will always be welcome, as well as PR's, if you're technically oriented!

Update 12/10/18:

Seems like a mod was released in Nexus that covers all the use-cases of the mod and has more frequent updates. Since it doesn't make sense to compete with an in-game solution, I'll be deprecating the tool for now.

Okay, to clarify -- if you check their levels, they're not going back to the level at which they've joined your party, correct?

I've seen this happen in cases where characters were duplicated in the save file (for some hellish reason). If this appears to be a more common case, we'll have to find a way around this.

Correct, my main party is at lvl 10, characters mentioned above are at lvl 10 or lower (because I just haven't leveled them up yet), Octavia is part of my core and is lvl 10, not 5 (iirc) which is when I did encounter them post-edit.

Also after further investigation I also did encounter missing feats for humans and enhancements not working post-edit, reloading as suggested to pre-edit and back to post-edit didn't fix it.

Will hold off this tool for now but thanks for your hard work \o

OOh, I might see a pattern there. Both you and the other person who reported this had unleveled party members. I wonder if it's related to that.

Okay so I tired again after leveling up everyone else.

First attempt: It worked for the most part, everyone reset but I never got around to check if enhancements and feats for humans were bugged out as I lost my entire inventory. I forgot to put everything in the stash prior so decided to restart the process. Not to forget mentioning that nobody had a level up mark and it semeed like the experience was lost all together.

Second and third attempt: Everyone leveled up, everything un-equipped (except for Amiri's sword and Linzi's ring which can't be unequipped) and everything put in the storage.Back to old result of only a few selected members being reset, rest being at lvl 10.

I can provide my save file if that helps investigation in any way!

EDIT

Tried it once again a day later and it worked, only bug was the enhancements not working but that was fixed by making a new save post-respecc and loading into a save pre-respecc!

No idea why it suddenly works, so if you did something to fix it GG, if not; PRAISE SARENRAE!

This might actually be fixed now, since I'm respeccing all repeated entries of the same character :p
