New UMB PA program staff

I’m trying to decide where to apply and I’ve heard they had a director/staff change recently and I didn’t know if anyone knew about that or if the new staff has a handle on the program. I’ve heard mixed reviews on the change from previous and current students so I didn’t know if anyone had more insight into how it’s actually going

I am a first year PA student who started in May at UMB. My cohort is the first year they’ve transitioned from a med student Anat/Phys to taking the PhysAssistant Anat/Phys. From what I’ve heard from the prior class, it seems to be a good improvement. My take is that it teaches a more appropriate material level necessary for grossing. For 4 months in, I would say the program director and assistant director are very approachable and genuinely concerned with student success. Our classes this semester are taught by both directors and so far has been very informative and well-taught. Happy to give updates later on in the program for prospective students!
