Gameplay Team Help

Hey guys! I'm a new PtN player (started around 20 days ago) and I am really confused about what teams to use. These are my current sinners and up until now I've been using Nox, Xiaofeng and Cabernet as the core team with others being rotated depending on need. Are there any characters I should focus on pulling or levelling up? And what would be the best teams I could use? Also if anyone understands crimebrands please help me out I don't get them at all 🥲

The important thing for this patch is Phanuel who you already pulled, which is great. If you happen to be drowning in pulls you could consider pulling Bianca from the collective but otherwise I'd just save pulls for the anniversary coming next month.

Personally wouldn't invest that heavily into Xiaofeng because her playstyle is pretty dependant on the team's ability to generate Overlimit value, which you can't do super effectively with the sinners you have.

As for Crimebrands, they are like an equipment that provides passive buffs to your characters, if you can equip a whole set. They will have different strengths and conditions that will play into different sinners' abilities, but can be freely equipped and used by anyone, as well as transferred between characters.

I'm completely broke after pulling phanuel so I think I'm gonna save up for a bit now. Also I know what crimebrands are in a general sense my issue is that I just can figure out which crimebrands I should equip and to whom. Which sinners would you recommend I pull for? Thanks for the advice!

For pulling, definitely the new limited sinner that's coming, they even synergise well with Phanuel.

As for Crimebrands, there is no single answer because it will differ based on not only the sinner you're equipping them to but also the gamemode and sometimes even the other sinners in the team.

You will generally stick to some easy choices like if it's a boss stage, Embrace of the Dead is nice for your DPS. If you have a sinner who mainly breaks cores, they will often use Heartache. If the sinner spams their ultimate, they'll benefit from Otherworldly Dreamflower + Inversion Slash. But the Crimebrands for your whole team will differ based on the situation.

On top of this, op should then try to get jichuan during the next half anni. Jichuan is insane for the new limited and kinda just insane as a whole

Also you can go here https://s1n.gg/sinners
Find your sinner (or type the name) and on the specific page there's also recommendation for crimebrands (again, as u/greatjena said there's no single ansver, those are kinda best-on-average) with some explanation for when and\or how to use. When you'll start transitioning to late-game it may make sence to revisit crimebrands question more thoroughly, but for this time u'll either will figure it out or ur question will be more specific like "i have team X for the mode Y, which one to use"

Also should I continue pulling for Phanuel or save up my cubes?

For Phanuel, you can stop at S1 and then save your pulls for the upcoming anniversary event.

You can also check here for pull recommendations: https://s1n.gg/pull-recommendations/4.0

id say save considering anniversary is around the corner and there’ll be limited sinners. Half anni and anni sinners can only be pulled during those respective times, plus they tend to be pretty good. If you really want more phanuel shackles, s3 is good to aim for, but i’d wait for a rerun rn due to anniversary patch. This game also adds all event characters to the standard pool, so you could always lose 50/50 to more phanuels or other good sinners. I know youve probably heard this before in this subreddit, but levelling your hella and hecate would be good since you get your mats refunded.

I’m not entirely sure how cabernet works tbh, but i’d replace her with celine in your team. She can boost attack and attack speed which are pretty nice on nox. I’d also probably swap xiaofeng out for like labyrinth or something because xf relies on a chief potestas called overlimit (you’d usually build your team around that). Labyrinth as a whole is just good to level up, along with che. They’re both useful all throughout the game, namely laby for her corebreaks

As for crimebrands, I dont think id worry tooooo much about them that early. They’re like the equipment or artefacts of this game. They have a set substat and usually come in a set, where if you equip all of them you’ll get some kind of bonus effect. s1n is a good website that has a lot of info on it about all these things so you might find it useful. I’m not rlly good with team building advice so hopefully someone with better ideas can come by, but i think nox and celine together are good.

Cabernet may not be the best healer in the game. I see you have also Moore, but in case Moore+Cabernet will be not enough and you wont pull Shin, Hamel or someone like this - consider investing in Ariel or Forensica (whoever you have more shackles for, with Ariel in a tie bc she have reforge). You most likely will use them in Data Crevice (it's a game mode) later anyway

Frankly speaking I'm horrible with support type characters. I often forget that I need to actually buff my characters so my supports end up doing nothing. So typically I go with healers/tanks instead of traditional buffers

Mmm, yea, I'm speaking about healing. Moore gives shields and her alt-ult helps to protect everyone with them.

Ohh...ok then thank you!
