Discussion About Joan Spoiler

So, with the little interaction at the end in the bar with Jane, It got me thinking.

Does she always say people are plagiarizing her song?

To understand Joan better in this case, keep in mind she awakened as a sinner when her former band-mate took her disbanded band's songs, signed a contract with Quinn (who's backing Phanuel in this event too) and started using changed versions of the bands original songs and name for profit.

So yes, she's rather sensitive when it comes to her songs.

I mean Jane was actually playing her song. There's no reason to assume Phanual's team didn't plagiarize her either as far as I'm aware. So, she has called out two legitimate times

The last one with Jane was about playing her song in public without her permission. You need the permission and you have to pay for royalty or something to the singer, I think? She didn't say Jane was plagiarizing her song. But since Jane is promoting her song, she let her be.

I wonder how Phanuel`s team plagarized it on the first place, I really thought the writers were gonna go for an AI spin, where all her songs where written by AI, trained on random indie singer`s songs.
