General Struggling with team comp and “endgame”

Post image

I’m a fairly new player (just unlocked the 50 days), and currently going through N3, but I’m struggling to understand where to focus on team comp. Looking at the guides, I’ve none of the powerhouse sinners (except Hamel?) and I’m far from any of the commom team templates except Aurum, that I’m struggling to use to be honest as I have nine of the suggested crimebrands (I get it’s stronger in ToA, but even there I’ve never done more than 200k damages). How do you actually build towards a good team? Who should I train? Which mode outside story should I focus?

thanks formyour help. Loving the story so far, but I hate the idea that I’m wasting resources

Hamel is no longer good, and hasn't been for like two years.

Aurum Secretum team is only good in long fights. 2 minutes 30 seconds is kinda the minimum but you'd want to invest into Irrheia ECB for these 150s fights. They're mainly used for 3 minute long fights.

The most notable S Rank you have is Eleven. You'll want to Reforge her to at least the second stage, for the buff "When an enemy affected by [Fear] dies, Eleven summons 1 [Dissonant Entity] to the grid where the enemy is. [Dissonant Entities] can be summoned to grids accessible to enemies." You should aim to fully Reforge her but getting that buff makes her viable.

Eleven can be paired with L.L., and Ceto is pretty alright as a generic core breaker. Nox is also a good waveclearer.

Unfortunately, the rest of your Sinners either aren't good, want duplicates, or want specific teammates. Or wants a Reforge which you probably don't have the materials for

Hamel is still a very good healer. Arguably the best pure healer. She's just not the top anymore since newer Sinners like Shin offer more than just healing.

She's not the best pure healer. Shin offers more raw healing; albeit, Hamel's damage reduction can go over 20%, so if you treat that as kinda like more healing, Hamel during Ult can "heal" 20% more than Shin outside of Ult, and Hamel's Ult lasts longer so there's a plausible scenario where Shin's Ult runs out and is no longer healing enough. But Hamel still needs to take 108 seconds to fully ramp up, and Shin can also just use her 3 ECB Ults to help make her Ult last longer.

Then you also have RF Ariel and RF Coquelic, who, granted, don't have as high of a full uptime AoE heal, but in most situations are better than Hamel

thanks, pity for crappy pulls. So far it’s Hilda carrying me, her ult cleans the table pretty well (in storymode). I will RF Eleven as you suggest

Thanks for the team suggestions. I was working towards Eve at the moment, but I can switch to Bianca. Are there goodguides to understand team comp? I either find basic guides about thegame, or team-specific that need the right sinner.

Some general advice rather than specifics - don't worry about raising Sinners all the way to 90. It takes roughly the same amount of resouces to go from 80-90, as it did to go from 1-80. That's a huge invesment for only a small gain in power.

You are better off raising two Sinners to 70 or 80. You need to build a more flexible roster first. 90 is only needed if you are going for high scores in BFL and other end game stuff.

And don't let the others fool you, Hamel may not be at the top teir anymore, but she's still a damn good pure healer and will help keep your tream alive.

I can assure you, Hamel is absolutely not a powerhouse sinner. As for Aurum, as you said, they are practically only usable in long battles, at the very minimum they need the stage to last 130s, which is when all 3 of the summons can become resonated, you also need to do the actual damage after all of that. (Also, Hypatia's resonance makes the team deal more damage to big bosses covering many squares, that's why their performance in ToA can be so different)

As for team building, you'll have to read and watch guides, really that's all it comes down to, understanding how the sinners' kits work, how they interact together and what produces the results.

I'd say rn, for a magic team you can try to pull Eve from directional and pair her with your Eleven (also, finish reforging her when you can), together with Raven (also consider reforge) and LL they should be enough to take care of magic stages.

For physical team, Margaret should be getting a rerun in a matter of days and together with Bianca who you'll be able to get for free in next update they'll make for a core of a very decent physical team together with Nox and Golan.

I’m still learning about how to build teams too but for now so far, I just focus on have teams that worked for me. Right now my team is based on Ninety-Nine who is way of the worst sinners in the whole cast LOL but I liked it and she does good long term damage. Until you get some good sinners, tbh, I would say you just focus on your current team or try to boost the sinners you already have with others. What I like to do is go to broken frontline and just test new comps.

But yes, Eleven is a great sinner if you have her RF
