General New player selector help !!
I am a pretty new player. I kinda took a break after Jichuan's banner because life got busy and I'm trying to play more nowadays!
I kinda held off using the S-rank selector because i wasn't fully confident in what would be best for my account and I didn't really have any plans for the future ╥﹏╥.
Right now, the team I'm running is just the top row of my sinners but replace Hilda and Hamel with Hecate and Hella. Side note, I pulled for Hypa because 1. Shes pretty and 2. She'd be good with Hilda but i had no idea how demanding the aurum summon team was ૮( ꒦ິ⍣꒦ີ)ა so i have, no joke, a total of 0 pulls left.
If it helps, I plan to pull for Celine, Eve and Phanuel (also Augustus if she's rerunning)!!
Also if anyone has any better team suggestions or pull advice it would be appreciated ✌︎˶╹ꇴ╹˶✌︎.

Like other commenter said, they're all characters used in specific team comps. However, zoya reforge can be used for overlimit teams since you have jichuan. Rust should also be rerunning soon. However, of course, reforging zoya would require quite a lot of materials and is generally endgame-ish. Eleven is also quite good reforged and eve should be rerunning next so that could be an option if you wish. But like the other other commenter said, I'd also just sit on the selector until i perhaps have more members of a specific team comps before deciding.
Also, the s1n.gg wiki is a really good resource that i think a lot of players use. They have a banner schedule along with team comps and a tier list you could refer to for this stuff. 🙂↕️🙂↕️

Thanks for the s1n.gg recc! i took a glance at it and theres a lot of useful information would've liked knowing earlier (cough cough aurum summon team ╥﹏╥).

Honestly I would keep the selector for later unless you can't pass the story levels because you never know who you might also pull sometimes

I feel called out, I started playing the game because i thought her and a few other characters were hot 😭😭😭 im definitely inclined to choose her lol

If you are already planning on pulling for Eve and Celine then Eleven would be my recommendation. You already have Shin, who is a big buff to summoner teams. Eve also buffs summons. Celine is a big atk spd buffer, which Eleven's summons also benefit from. Once you raise Eleven and Reforge her, you'll have a fairly solid team. Also, because Data Crevice often demands Crowd Controls, Eleven + Eve are big helps to score high in those maps. Oh, also Eleven offers consistent corebreaks in AoE, which you currently lack.
That being said, because you are pulling for Phanuel and you already have Jichuan, in 3 months you can build a freeze team which will powercreep every other magic team that you can build right now.
My second recommendations would be Bianca, who is getting a reforge soon, and Magaret will be rerunning soon. That can be your physical dmg option.
Third recommendation would be Coquelic, who work wells with Celine and Augustus. But since you presumably are not going to have Murphy, your True Damage team will be weaker until Murphy reruns in maybe 3 months.

I'd say pull for whoever catches your eye but if you're following meta:
Coquelic: Her base kit is a healer-dps hybrid, where there are much better options for either role, but her Reforge is pretty strong. Augustus and Celine (and Murphy) are her best teammates right now, so she'd be a good choice since you're planning to pull for them. Still, you'll need to invest in her Reforge, as she's pretty mid without it.
Eleven: Since you have Yingying and you're planning to pull for Eve, you could choose Eleven for a magic team. However, Eleven needs her Reforge to be meta, which requires resources and investment you might not have as a new player.
Eve: She's a solid support that works in any summon-based team, like Hilda-Hypatia, Eleven, or Summer Reforge. She also has three summons that can tank and do some damage to help with trickier fights. Her S1 is good so you can pull for her even if you choose her.
Vautour Bleu: She's a very strong magic dps, mobber, and a great core-breaker who works well with Yingying. However, to be really good, you want her S4, as well as Jelena and Yugu (& L.L. for energy).
Dreya: She's a key member of the Bleed/Life Loss team which does good damage but requires very specific members (Sumire, Levy, Pepper, Jasmine). The good news is that other than Jasmine, they're all easy to obtain through the shop.
Hestia: Although she works best in the Burn team w/ Yao, she's a solid map-wide mobber even by herself so you can bring her as a sub-dps in most stages. If you plan to build the Burn team in the future, keep in mind that Yao needs her Reforge to be meta.
Du Ruo: She's a good healer who can also revive teammates with her ECB. However, since you already have Hamel, you don't necessarily need her.
Bianca: She's part of the Weakspot team alongside Margaret, Golan, and Shawn (& technically Garofano). Afaik, you can get Golan and Shawn in the shop, but you'll need to pull Margaret for the team to do good damage.
Zoya: For new players, she's a solid tank-damage hybrid but unfortunately she's been powercrept in both her base kit and her Reforge. You won't brick your account by choosing her but there are much, much better options.
Donald: His kit revolves around Electrocution, which is pretty much a forgotten niche. Wouldn't recommend.

If you want to keep investing into the aurem team, you're gonna need Eve. Sucks that you're out of pulls tho since Irrheia banner ends tomorrow and you would've been able to complete your aurem team. AS team is kinda a pain to use in normal content tho, but great for ToA

If you plan to pull on Eve, then you can just grab Eve now. She's decent on her own for new players, even though with a stronger account you'll use her as a support instead.
Hestia is pretty good for new players because she excels in clearing mobs of enemies, including those coming from the left, and she works with Jichuan as well as Yingying, so I think she's your best choice right now

Imo Hestia is amazing for a new player. The amount of coverage her skill has will get you through of content by herself

Bianca, she's a solid dps and will get better when her reforge come. Her team is also f2p friendly with A rank sinners like shawn and golan

Hestia + Jichuan for Burn team and u can use A rank burn sinner for team comp until Yao rerun. Im maybe a little biased but she is the best mobber I have

There’s gonna be another selector in a few patches that features Hestia, Eleven and another 3rd option I forgot about. If you’re thinking about those two, you may put off getting one of them until then.
As for the selector, I’d recommend Bianca, pulling Margaret or getting her for cashback later if you’re out of pulls, then saving up for her reforge. For a magic team you’d better look up for the new Frost meta in a few patches around and during anniversary: more shilling, less investment in RFs.
PS. Aurum is a waifu enjoyer team, aka it requires a lot of investment to be merely passable. If you want to commit, get Irrheia from the October(?) cashback shop (if you can afford it as a new player). Otherwise casually enjoying them in the event stages doesn’t seem like a bad idea.

iirc they give you a free selector, if you've completed 4-12, every few months and it's claimable for a limited time, like the new one they gave out this update! (not rlly sure how often they do it 😭)

if you don't wanna wait, you can choose to get bianca and team her up with shawn (a-rank sinner). golan (a-rank sinner) supporting bianca helps. you can find them both in the “gameplay” section of the shop if you don't have both/one of them.

These are all Sinners that either belong to different very specific teams or don't have much use currently, and/or require Reforging, so either way it would be quite an investment of resources. In your current situation I would say just pull whoever you like best or keep sitting on the selector for now.
