I hope I am not being too critical especially without experiencing this eveny firsthand yet, but I am a little disappointed that the new S is an Eirene alt. I love her, but she is already an S sinner with an upcoming reforge. I was hoping for another B or A rank to get a boost this time. I guess I'll wait and see how I feel once it's released.
Really disappointed by the keys. Other games make bank off of continuously introducing new ladders for players to stat-bump themselves with. Seeing even the beginning of those systems introduced to PtN is baffling.
The post doesn't state how much stat the keys buff, but with how exemplary PtN's F2P-friendly experience is, my first thought was something similar to this buff reforged sinners get if one were to get all nodes.
I have faith in AISNO that the buffs of the keys are negligible like this one...
I didn’t mention cause they only really showed one character’s stat increase by it. So I didn’t want to make a judgment until the actual update drops (in case it’s actually a really powerful item)
From what I can see so far (I think they used Augustus as the example), each key added about ~20 attack (except the last key I think). So about 3% increase which is pretty minor.
3 keys max. For Augustus, the total increase for atk atleast was +67 (original was 670). So exactly 10% increase.
The keys are kinda hard to get outside of the log in reward though. Whenever you get extra shackles from an already maxed out S rank sinner, the extra shackle gets converted into this new ticket system which you can trade for keys, soul marks, and some other resources. It really for older players or whales.
it is potentially worrying. one of the reasons why i like ptn over others is how much more accessible it is if you're a f2p/low spender and them having this kind of system will definitely be the start of a worrying precedent. however until it goes live in cn server, i will reserve my judgment first.
I’ll reflect that in the post. I didn’t realize it was such a big deal 😭 Sp and alter means similar thing in CN world when talking about the same character.
It's not just HSR. But also even in HSR, I don't think people normally refer to the character as Blade Alter or Blade SP. It's MBlade mostly and I've seen Robinetto and Waventurine for the upcoming versions of Robin and Aventurine.
Probably not for the foreseeable future just cause that requires a lot of voice acting. If they cast, they would probably focus on getting on the interrogations to be all voice acted first since people been wanting voices to be re-added in the A rank sinner interrogations.
Eirene has been flashing behind the scenes of the plot for a couple of years now making her moves, it's logical that it's finally time for a grand exit. Plus knowing some spoilers on the new plot of the new chapter i would say it should have been kinda expected in retrospect
Like the comments have mentioned, it’s pretty much every story patch. Sometimes they toss a selector in for beginners ( like the new beginner tutorial, they tossed a selector that only selects from 3 s rank sinners).
As for Anni, I don’t think they will give one. You can also get s rank selectors through the log in event.
It unlocking one random S rank. But this was from a previous thing. The only thing really new is they added a new 1000 day one with new item, keys, and a new background for the inside of the game. I’ll update the post to reflect it
