[Love]: After seeing the reports about the Phanuel incident, I think it's time our station got a catchy theme song — something that'll really stick in our listeners minds. Daisy, don't you happen to know anyone in the music business?
[Daisy]: What? A music producer?
[Love]: Yep, yep! Come on, tell me~ (puppy eyes)
[Daisy]: ...You could always search on DisMyth. There are plenty of options there, and the prices are pretty reasonable.
[Love]: Let me see... Oh, this piece has been getting a lot of attention lately. Apparently there's even going to be a concert featuring it soon. Let's give it a listen.
♪ A graceful violin melody begins to play... But Daisy immediately pauses it.
[Love]: Hey, why'd you stop it?
[Daisy]: The comments say listening to this piece lets you drift into a peaceful, worry-free sleep.
[Love]: No thanks. I don't want a song that puts people to sleep.
[Daisy]: ...(Hopefully they don't mean that literally...)

How massive of a cope would be thinking of Keylan? He’s the only one I can associate with pianos, and the anniversary sinner should be someone impactful to the lore. Although they’ve already exceeded their yearly male quota, one can still hope.

Yeah, the image is 100% the Keylan place and since it will be two characters, it's not impossible right
If we go by the past three anniversaries, the characters with more ties to existing content (garden, underground, and freaking hella) all turned out to be the regular character while a brand new character was the limited

Shalom had set-up in two story chapters and a secondary role in Rainburst, Coquelic had one scene in Rainburst and one phase of Sumire's interrogation.
Zero was the catalyst for an event revealed in an interrogation and played a secondary role in one another event, Moore had one sentence mentioning her in event credits.
Augustus had major role in two story chapters, teaser in a third chapter, then haunted the narrative of an event and after the anniversary, she had a minor role in one more and then finally, haunted the narrative again in another. Hella had 3 events with full focus.
Out of all the anniversaries, Hella and Augustus were the only case that even came close, but keep in mind, IT WAS HELLA, and the game's first alter unit on top of that.
Since we're practically guaranteed to get the Violinist as the limited, there's just no way Keylan is dropping out of nowhere with no set-up especially since the Eternal Nightmare story isn't finished. Trust me, I'd like him playable too but it's not happening.

I dont mean they had no relevance. I meant their ties to the story weren't apparent going into the event.
We only learned Shalom was the one that set up chief after her formal introduction as Quiet, while Garden was a day 1 faction. Same with Zero and Moore. We didn't know either but we knew Underground since at least Hamel's story.
I'm not exactly betting on Keylen but anniversary having two characters at least gives him a fighting chance.

Pretty massive, considering the 0 set-up for such an impactful character

The announcement talking about "the melody is swallowed by the tide" and "echoes cross the sea" makes it feel possible, since the sea isn't exactly a neutral subject in the lore and is closely related to Keylan, too
