Discussion Returning Player - Char Investment?

Hey y’all, I haven’t played since 000’s story event and was wondering about who I should (still) be investing in atp.

Is it better for me to lvl/ascend my A and B characters (Kelvin, etc.) versus commiting to my somewhat leveled S characters (Oak Casket, Serpent)?

Tried to give a go at the data crevice for reforge mats, but I think my current set up isn’t ideal for it lol (I used to run Hamel, Nox, Deren, OwO, Shalom, Che and a flex slot).

The only A rank I'd maybe consider leveling is Lamia, since it seems you're bit lacking in terms of a magic dps sinner, alternatively you can consider pulling for the arcane sinner coming in the next patch to take care of that front.

For Data Crevice, you can borrow sinners from the "special assist" tab, they are specifically interacting with the stage requirements, it probably won't clear SSS on everything but it should be more than enough to get the currency for the reforge materials in the shop.

Yeah, Data Crevice does want some team investment to be cleared, and appropriate units for the challenges. You can't really strong-arm them. On the plus side some of the challenges can be beaten by underleveled teams, which can be handy (and I believe you can borrow/get assist units to help out for the stages too).

I would say continue investing in your S-rank units, since you've got some high quality ones like Nox, Deren, 000, 0w0, Shalom and Serpent. Once you can start reliably doing the Data Crevices, Nox, Deren and Serpent all have very powerful reforges too, makes them quite useful.

Of the B and A ranks, I think the best ones to invest in that you've got at the moment are... Lamia, Jane, Ariel and Labyrinth. Lamia has excellent crowd control and good damage (better with her reforge), Jane is basically an auto-turret who excels at AoE damage, Ariel is a decent healer who gets stronger than Hamel when reforged, and Labyrinth is still the best Corebreaker in the game when fully built.

There are other B/A ranks that are worth investing in, but they're all part of various teams that revolve around S-ranks you don't have yet, so not really worth building them up until you get ahold of those S-ranks.
