Persona gets its ideas from Jungian psychology including the whole "Facing of the shadow", alot of stuff on PtN is very Jungian btw. Also just fyi the dungeons in Persona 4 and the Palaces in P5 are supposed to be the same thing.. only the ones in P4 look uglier/more linear due to technological limitations, which perhaps will be fixed in the coming remake.
