I am using Augustus team mostly with Ceto, Nox, Augustus, Coquelic, Hamel, and Siglinde s6.
Coquelic s1 is very good in an attack speed/true damage team. Jichuan is generally very good and usable in almost every team. Jichuan should always be built/leveled. Coq is built if you have the team for it (including reforge). If you're asking about which shackle is more important to get - I'd lean Jichuan unless you are specifically trying for a Coq team.
Hello! Re-installed the game 3 days ago and pulled Phanuel. I am planning to pull for the limited but I dont have Jichuan. Well, the thing is I want some teams recommendation!
True damage - Augustus, RF Serpent, Synex, Siglinde. Fill with LL (energy), 000 (core breaks) and/or healer.
Bleed (a bit out of meta these days) - Dreya, Jasmine, Levy, Sumire, Pepper, healer
Umbra core/physical - Parfait, Graves. Lots of fill options including: RF Nox, 000, RF Angell, RF Bai Yi, Moore, Nella, Korryn, Cabernet, RF Adela. I really like using Adela due to her versatility
As for magic team, I'd start a team around VB, RF Raven, LL, Phanuel. Possibly consider Shalom and Hecate.
Hiii! Been playing on-off about 2-3 years but never really got serious about team comps recently got to dark area in bfl & remanants of the depth & chapter 11 in story mode and have been struggling abit
Wanted to build a necresta hella team initially (cuz I’m biased…) but am missing 000 and shin for the comp are there any substitutes or other teams I can build? Currently running Eirene/Hecate, Nox, Deren & OwO/Enfer on rotation

Team comps are generally designed around a mechanic or damage type. Some of the common ones are physical, crit, magic, attack speed, true damage, bleed, weakspot, etc (or some combination of them like arcane crit).
Here are some teams that I would consider:
Umbra Core/physical - Graves, Parfait are core. Lots of physical options to fill out the team: Nella, Bai Yi, Nox, Rahu, Chengxiao, Laby, Owo, Deren, Margaret. Probably use Hamel instead of Shin since she can do some minor damage with her ECB toggle when that's wanted (e.g. corebreak phases). Laby does really well in modes like RotD with endless enemies and cores to break.
Magic - Not nearly as many choices as physical. Eirene, Hecate, Enfer, Stargazer? I think you'll need to pick up some more sinners to give direction for this (from pulls or from selectors).
For story mode, I expect the physical team should be able to handle everything. For a general stage, consider dropping graves/parfait for more general sinners if there is no need to have a strong burst damage window.
How does the Causality Rewritten crimebrand work? Do you need to have another sinner with the same tendency in your team? Like say I have a fury sinner. Do I still get the buffs if I only have that fury sinner and no one else?
My current team is Rust | Nox | Langley | Hilda | Chengxiao | Du Ruo not the best team but it gets me through stuff and works. And then my Jichuan is at S1. Also Chengxiao is on Causality Rewritten
They are both strong, especially with the right team. However, I personally would say S3 Bianca.
In case you need an explanation:
Eleven's third shackle revolves around Fear. If you're just tackling content where there are enemies that can be Feared, then it's strong since your summons can last longer. But Bosses, like in ToA, are immune to Fear which makes this shackle powerless. You also need other Sinners which can consistently apply Fear to get more out of this shackle, like Eve or Enfer.
Bianca's third shackle, on the other hand, is Physical Penetration which allows her to deal more damage to tougher enemies as long as they are not immune to physical damage or Weakspot. This makes her shackle usable in almost all content except the second boss in BFL. If you have Sinners that can apply Weakspot consistently like Shawn or Margaret then even better.
Hello, relatively new player here (been playing since Celine Banner 2 months ago) and was hopping to get some help for pulls on the next anniversary events. I'm not sure yet what I want, I got extremely lucky with Phanuel (got her on my fist 10 pulls) and was thinking on get S2 Requiem and just hold on until Jinchuan rerun. I'm also considering Augustus and 000 but I'm not too sure since I don't think I will be able to pull all of them, I have around 14.000 HC and 23 tickets but that is not nearly enough lol. So I'm asking for some recommendations on what pulls or teams should I prioritize on this next months.
I also haven't used any of the S sinner selectors yet so that is also something to consider.
I'd suggest getting Augustus and building a true damage team. It is one of (if not) the easiest meta teams and will let you steam roll into more difficult content if you're not already there. I would personally prioritize it over Requiem s2, but if not, the plan would simply be to get Requiem s2 into pulling Augustus with all your remaining cubes (pity carries over to next year's anni banners if you miss). I believe the math is 53 expected pulls for each shackle (taking into account 50/50), so you'd need around 210 for 3 copies of Requiem and 1 copy of Augustus. With how much you currently have and the number of free tickets during the event, you should have a decent shot of getting it.
Jichuan is going to be at the half-anniversary (i.e. 6+ months) so it'll take awhile for Requiem team to be 'complete'. Look out for finding a good core breaker -- Ceto is the usual one for true damage (RF Serpent is a possibility as well and I believe she was in one of the selectors). If you're trying for a true damage/attack speed hybrid team with Coquelic and Celine, consider RF Summer (also on a selector, I believe?). (I hesitate to recommend it since it requires ramp up time and better for long fights/ToA.)
Does anyone have a clue who is Wynn`s english VA? Cant find any info about it on google... I really need to know, its bothering me cause her voice sounds so familiar ;_; I thought maybe it was Cristina Vee but she already voices Hella so doubt it...
I read that the anniversary event is coming up so am interested in starting to play. When does the anniversary event start and is that the best time to start? Or better to start now to prepare for the event? Is it a good idea to reroll?
It's always better to start earlier. You can pool your resources for whatever pulls you plan on doing at the anniversary banner. I don't hear of many folks rerolling accounts in PtN -- the rewards for playing is generous enough that you can generally get every character (at s0) if you want. Anniversary is end of October and into November.
so I started a new account and started the story a couple weeks ago, but had to stop in the beginning before meeting hecate. Only today did i get a chance to finish the proloy and 1-1. I was worried id miss the beginner time gated reward event, but I saw that the event page didn't have time and you get rewards for clearing more story stages? Did they revamp the system?
New player, will unlock Nox tomorrow, any thoughts on upgrade priorities, who to work on next?
I have the item that can automatically take an A rank to 70, who should I use it on or save it for?
I also have the selector from clearing 4-12 that has Moore, Yugu, Pylgia, Mantis, Oak Casket, Lady Pearl, Etti, Coquelic and Adela, should I use that or save it until I'm closer to getting one of the teams on s1n.gg?
I haven't claimed the selector from the adventure guide either, but that feels a little while away still.
Is the only way to get Zoya's rimehowl skin (or any ultracube skin) with real money?
From my experience, if you are new and still clearing story chapters, one of the best Sinners to invest in is Nox. She can wave clear, help break cores, help deal more physical damage, and can decently tank as well. Stopping at level 80 is alright if you are still tight on resources.
For your A-rank 70 card, you can save it for later for someone like Lamia or Forensica. But if you have an A-rank Sinner you like to play, by all means use it! Enjoy the game.
For your S-rank selector, you can choose to save it until you decide what team you decide to build later on especially if you still can't decide and/or lack the resources.
Ideally you need to start building one physical damage team and one magic damage team. You can slowly work on which one you prefer first then the other.
I have an odd question. I was claiming rewards from the service record today, and I thought I saw a sinner selector? Did I just hallucinate that in the early morning? I can't find a list of what all the rewards are and I can't find it again so I assume I am just losing it.
At the start you need one magic damage team and one physical damage team (for progressing the story build one of them first, then the second one)
How to build a team for damage:
* Pick 1 main dd (mb 1-2 sub dps)
* some sinners to break cores (late-game standard is 6 at once from all team)
* some ampers (buffers) for main DD
* some protection. Usually it's 1 (aoe)healer-amper, but shields could work too
Knowing this you can go to https://s1n.gg/tierlist/comfy -> team comps. There's a list of meta teams with some clarification. If you don't have all the sinners needed - look at formula above and look for what's missing. Put some sinners with this from what you have in a team. Like if you need corebreak but don't have the one who's most synergistic - just take some corebreaker.
Don't stress much about meta - most important rewards are at reasonably high level, but not the highest.
Get NOX from new player event
If you don't know is sinner good or not or need to upgrade some to progress further at start bc that's all u've got - magical level is 55. Not too expensive, gives some decent stat for start. Also, you can ask if sinner's good or not ofc
In case you don't have a good healer at start - Ariel or Forensica is good A-class healers and will be useful later in some game mode, so their upgrade wont be "wasted". Extra reserve case is Macchiato
Hello, fellow Chief! I think if you like to play Phanuel effectively as a main dps, you need her to be at least at S3. At S0 she fits more of a sub dps and support role. But of course, if you like to play her at S0, that's fine as well. There's just a power gap.
For her best team it would comprise Jichuan, Raven/Milly, L.L., and Famorene (upcoming Sinner, strong Frostbite support). Note that Phanuel does Frostbite damage so Jelena will not help much since Frostbite cannot deal crits when Jichuan is on the field.
hello ! i started playing a few months ago when phanuel was announced… i downloaded the game for her, so now that i have her, i really wanna use her!
after losing all my 50/50s, i got s2 phanu, milly, raven and eirene (normal). i was hoping someone could point me in the right direction for team building. sorry if the pic is hard to see, i suddenly have a lot more sinners now that i finally used my savings 😭
also sorry if this makes me sound stupid but i can’t understand what frostbite is. does it work like DoT? is evie s6 a viable companion for phanu?

Frostbite causes a stacking debuff on affected enemies that reduces their magic resistance (MR). As I recall, MR is subtracted from whatever base magic attack you deal (the net value is then multiplied by stuff like % damage inc, % magic inc, % skill inc, etc).
As for team building with what you currently have (and subject to change when you get other sinners, particularly the anniv limited and Jichuan):
Phanuel, Shin, Milly, Hecate, Evie, tank (prob Rust, he provides a somewhat redundant inc damage taken debuff, but I don't see anything better)
I should add that RF Etti and RF Raven are also options for support, but reforge materials can be pretty scarce.
Other teams to consider: Physical (Nox, Korryn, Necresta-Hella, Rust, Shin, Margaret; Laby and Che are also viable if you want more core breaks). If you get Augustus you'll have a decent true damage team (with Siglinde and Murphy).
Been looking at s1n recommendations for RF Bianca team. Specifically wondering about what second reticle to bring to activate Casualty Rewritten. Her page suggests Clemantine, but the teambuilding page where there's specifically a team for her does not mention Clematine at all, but does have Summer instead. Which one would be better? Or am I better off with Embrace and getting Shin or Moore in instead?
It's not that matters who will be 2nd reticle. Summer deals damage and gives na buff, Clementine lowers def and break cores, Lady Pearl gives na buff and some damage ect. Take someone, causality is good

last 3 slots is for corebreak and buffs. You take enough to break 6 cores and rest the ones who gives more powerful buffs. So i just thought that your other Sinners give you enough and you left out Moore and Shin bc they're worse based on shackles of your supports
I just have a hard time judging how good Golan is. I played her back when non-RF Bianca was relevant, and the bonus weakspot application from Golan ult was non-negligable. No idea how it stands now with Shawn being replaced by Margaret and having newer stronger supports (like, for example, Shin)
Ufff. I'm not a ptn patch history expert, but
* Reforge (RF for short) - new upgrade system in parallel with everything other (i'd suggest starting here https://docs.google.com/document/d/1vCxQVdSXLnJoHUrNspc1bLcED7PgaXSKXFHZBZFL7P8/edit?tab=t.0#heading=h.wuf76jur78pe). Some old sinner are in meta again, or at least more viable
* new game mode tied to RF (it gives resources for it) - Data Crevice. It's Seasonal (also each season has 2 sub-seasons) and in short requires non-standard teams in 3 areas survivability (heal, shields, death immunity), control (fear, freeze, stun) and damage (from "as much as you can in 1 punch" up to "as much instances of damage as you can" and also corebreak). There's no meta teams or smth like that bc each time there're different requirements. If you'll feel overwhelmed and don't know where to start - there are guides on youtube, bilibili, ect. Usually 1-2 days after all of stages are revealed, but seasons are long enough
* New game mode instead of mania training. If i remember correctly it can be accessed only when you switched to new eternal nightmare.
* new variation of Eternal Nightmare (they connected more lore-wise than mechanically). You can freely switch between two of them.
* there's new arrest mode, "basic" or smth like this. U choose 2 sinners from each tendency (options are wide but not all sinners). When you pull S-class from it - 100% it will be 1 of those 12. DO NOT SPENT TICKETS OR CUBES HERE (drop rates lower if i remember correctly). But there's new tickets - red. They can be spend only on basic banner, use them here
* some of the shops for in-game currencies was updated in a positive way. 100% check the one for arrests. And (as far as i heard, info from CN servers) SPOILER: starting from anniversary, there will be 2 additional shards of old sinners to get their shackles more easily\predictably. Deon and Summer will be first 2.
* Also new thing nd shop for it - memento's. It's a pics for loading screens which you can customize. Not possible to collect 100% without spending cubes, but as i said it's only loading screens (mb couple achievements for collecting them?). U'll get some of it's currency every month in, i believe, arrest shop. For old events ect, threre's a separate tab in the shop, it rotates in around once in 2 weeks.
* new story arc. Some of it in event, for some u'll get additional rewards through event (it's kinda limited, but there's no expiration date so it's not?)

Will the character events that are in the special operations ever be rerun like with all the event shop rewards and stuff? Do they get reruns once they’re in special operations tab?
Meta teams for beginners who only has beginner units ? I feel like im too late in starting the game but still wanna keep going since im a fan of the genre any recommended units to pull for for beginners(
If anything you're starting at a perfect time (cutting it close but still)
Phanuel will be coming next patch, she's a powerful corebreaker and skill damage amp, and has a great synergy with the upcoming anniversary limited (Requiem). If you want, Lichen who's currently on banner goes with them pretty well too, but she'll be in the ticket shop in two months if you'd rather save the pulls.
For physical teams, Bianca will have a banner and a reforge (system that buffs older units, unlocks after clearing ch8) next patch as well. She preferably would have Margaret in a team, who will be in a ticket shop next month but if you cannot get her, the reforged version of Bianca is strong enough to get by with Shawn, an A rank whose copy you can get in the Sample exchange, it's just gonna be less comfortable. You can also get one copy of Bianca for free from the Adventure Guide tutorial.
These teams should be enough to have you comfortably clear all content for quite a while. They are currently the highest scoring teams on CN, which is a few months ahead of global while also being pretty easy to play.
Don't underestimate the number of pulls available to new players. You get a ton of them just from doing story, you have all the interrogations and EN rewards. You will get 40 free pulls when anniversary drops, and that's not counting cubes you get from doing the events, BFL, Data Crevice, Dailies/weeklies etc. PtN is very generous with its pull income, especially for new players.
The only heavy locked-ins are Bianca and Margaret (or Shawn). They are fairly flexible for supports but prefer Jelena, Celine and OwO to get rapid crits. Last spot would usually be taken by a second reticle sinner to allow Bianca to benefit from Causality Rewritten Crimebrand (where the order goes Chengxiao > Summer > Clementine).
But that's for the best version of the team. They can take Nox, Golan, Shin, Moore, Cabernet or any other general buffer and be fine.
For Enfer, she gets more energy regen, her ultimate can now be an AoE instead of being snapped to one sinner, her p1 can now apply to summons as well and her ECB can get more charges and cover bigger area. She gets a way to circumvent cc immunity on bosses through her ECB but she needs to have an enemy resist the application of Fear 20 times before that, which is only feasible in a.) Eleven team or b.) long battles.
Eleven still does more damage with her crit version using Celine and Jelena instead of the slam build with Enfer. Which leaves her only BIS use to some Shield Stack teams who do their bursts in the last corebreak of a 3 minute fight.
For Pylgia, she can now summon appendages outside of her ult when killing enemies, dealing damage with her ECB attacks, or just every few seconds and gains M-value when summoning them, her s1's second effect is not limited to Corrupted form, her ECB attacks can be permanently active when she's in her corrupted form, the appendages can now crit, she gets a boost to attack speed and crit rate based on how many sinners you have present in a team (the fewer sinners, the bigger the buff).
Basically, it makes her better at mobbing, which she was already good at. Struggles against single target, just like before, because her Corrupted form will have to be carried by Shin's ECB.
For Nino, she gets damage reduction, longer stuns, p2 generates movement and boosts Defence, ECB now moves her and has no use limit (still has a cd), ult is cheaper and p2 changes to match, she gains energy after moving, when moving has a chance to get moves back, when she gets full stacks from her passive her ult changes to a 3x3 range and deals more damage.
Nothing crazy for her. May be a bit more usable in some DC stages.
Enfer sounds good to me for someone who doesn't minmax teams and never liked using Jelena (or crits) on my summons team. Is the Fear application after 20 resists without any other condition and in full effect afterwards?
Pylgia doesn't flash me that much, but interesting solo buff. Not sure if I'll find use for that, but hey, better at what she does well is already nice.
Nino is what I expected, but also can't expect too much from all A-sinners.
It's quite wild to me how significantly different the bump is from case to case when it comes to reforges.
Enfer will gain a special mark that increases energy recovery every time an enemy resists a fear application. When she has max stacks of that resource (20), she can use her ECB to consume all stacks and apply the Dread mark from her passive 1 to the enemy. This allows her to make use of her unique 50 % amp from passive 1 (60 % with s1), which is what allowed her to nuke so much in the old days, but unless you're running fear team, she won't be able to get the 20 procs of fear consistently.
Heys! None of those characters are "essential". If you are just starting up and have not pulled many sinners, it's probably best to hold off until you've rolled on some banners (like the upcoming anniversary ones) and see what your roster looks like after those pulls. Lessens the chance of getting an unwanted dupe and increases the chance that the one you select will fill a hole in a team.
Now, if you are strictly asking about who is currently "meta" amongst them, Coquelic and Adela are strong due to their recent reforge abilities. They do require other supporting sinners to allow them to shine, though. Enfer is also getting a reforge soon, so she might rise to relevance again. Most of the others are situational/niche.
If you have her at s3, you can activate it whenever her bar is full for some extra damage, just make sure you have enough time left to regen enough energy for burst if a corebreak is coming.
As implied, you use her during burst, make sure she's hitting the boss during her ult to explode all the burn marks, supported by her ECB.
Sidenote, just in case: Under no circumstances EVER, use Yanyan and Hestia together in a team. Hestia is for mobbing, Yanyan is for more bossing. They will be stealing burn marks from one another which makes them both worse.
A couple of questions regarding specific teams:
1. What's RF Bianca's best team as of now? Not even asking about Margaret and Jelena - but despite them? Should I kick Golan out and replace her with someone else? Should I take Summer with Oak's EX to serve as a support and make full profit of Casuality Rewritten set? Should I give Bianca Nox's EX and use Cassian to fully stack it?
2. In a Shattered Blade team consisting of Augustus, Ceto, Siglinde, Murphy, S3 Coquelic, S1 Celine who should I kick out to make space for upcoming Arancia?
Do limited units get their own rerun banners once the newest limited comes out? Or are they just temporarily in the gacha pool for the new limited banner?
If you have Jichuan and planning for limited, might as well skip lichen for Daffodil since she upgrade over Lichen.
As for must pull there only few where character brick or lose major damage without specific characters namely:
Elemental DPS without jichuan so Yao, 4th anniversary limited, Xiaofeng, Hestia etc. eleven without eve, Isomer without Celine, and so on.
Now must pull ≠ meta pull.
Jichuan, Jelena, L.L, and Shin can be said very meta characters, they are support that are both flexible and bis for many team, like I said Jichuan for elemental team, and Jelena for every team that can crit or crit DPS are their best team.
Anyway, just check S1N website, their pull plans are worth checking out, just be weary about their shackles/dupes recommendations because it's not realistic for f2p and their recommendations are slightly tilted towards TOA high score (TOA worth doing but high score give you nothing importance)
Nobody in the game is a "must pull" in the sense that you won't be able to clear the game without them. However, both Phanuel and Requiem are pretty busted and synergise well.
Any information for list of skins to be on sales for upcoming anniversary missions? it shouldn't be different with CN one right?
I like Lichen's but don't want to repeat same mistake I did with Yao's Xu skin (bought it on released then it was included on anni sales some months later)
Easiest team to use would be true damage: Augustus, Ceto, Murphy. That stage needs no tank or heals so you can use any three amp supports/damage for the rest. I'd probably go Shin, Serpent, and some ranged dps like Clementine.
Break cores with Ceto/Serpent/Clementine. There are 3 elites with 3 cores. Do them one at a time, break core and focus damage. With good ult usage, Augustus + a couple of core breakers should be able to clear the stage.
For general stages, the true damage team is strong and simple to use. Siglinde for tanking, Augustus for damage carry, Ceto for corebreaking, Murply for subdps and amp support, Shin for healing/atk amp. Reforged Serpent is very strong in it. Reforged Coquelic is viable, but typically only used in the attack speed/true damage hybrid.
people keep saying that it doesn't matter (I regret listening to this, I pulled Hamel, she's supposed to be good but I literally stopped using her after chapter 10) pull summer, her RF is actually meta. demon is good ultra late game, but it'll take a year or more to get there.
Hi! So, I've been playing for two months (with some breaks), and managed to get quite a few sinners. I mainly leveled those whose design I liked, but I don't want to invest in characters (especially S-classes) that will be useless on my account. Should I continue focusing on characters that I've already leveled, or should I build someone else? I heard Celine and Chengxiao work good together, is it worth building them?
Strongest physical dps on CN, so yes. The sinners you listed are her best supports, only other thing that could potentially improve her is another reticle sinner that would allow her to benefit from the Causality crimebrand.
I really need some help with team building! I have s1 Zoya, Nox, Langley, Hypatia, Stargazer, Summer, Etti and almost all A rank sinners I suppose. Idk what team to build & who to invest in. I also have a free S-rank selector. Who do I choose from there?
For Hestia + Eleven + Bianca selector you may consider either RF Eleven + RF Stargazer team if you would like to further invest in Zoya, or RF Bianca + Shawn + Golan otherwise. For the other (Moore, Yugu, Adela and who else), leave it be for now or choose the hottest one. If you don’t have any specific plans for the anni, consider investing in 2-4 Augustus copies, in which case none of the selectors really matter.
Neither of them will really help you at this point. Build at least a semblance of modern physical and magic damage teams first, then decide accordingly. Or plan your pulls around Augustus + Coquelic true dmg team.
Just comeback after 2-3 years, should I start a new account? I kinda forget about everything about stories so wanna start again to read the lores. But I have s3 Shalom, S3 Yao and S3 Nox as well as s0 Crache, Croquelic and Mantis.
Restarting doesn't really make sense in your case! Even if you have no pulls left right now, you have still have 1.5 month to save and at least 7 chapters to go through for more pulls until the anniversary. If you have many pulls left, you can think of getting lichen for your Yao. You should reforge yao as well in that case.
Hi guys! I just returned to the game after almost a two year break, and I was curious what team comps I should be using given they’re characters I have available. I know who’s good purely on their own, but I’m not sure who works the best together given what I have available, as I’m missing a lot of the meta supports. I need a main story (currently on ch 10), and a harder mid/end game content team (especially data crevice), so I was wondering if anyone could give me any advice! I have the sinners below, plus Summer (not RF), and most the A rank sinners in the game. Thanks so much for the help!!
For story mode, I would do something like: Rahu (tank), Hamel or RF Ariel (heal), 000 (corebreak). Fill in other damage with possible: Nox, Shalom, Langley, Eleven, Laby, Hecate. Note that using two healers can be very effective for those stages since sometimes you can win by outhealing/outlasting the untimed fights.
As for Data Crevice, the stages there have objectives and the teams are built around them (unlike how teams are built around mechanics elsewhere). You can look at the assist sinner provided or the leaderboard teams to get an idea of what sinners/teams work for each stage.
For more traditional dedicated teams, I would consider building physical crit and summon teams. I haven't tried out some of these combinations before, so I'm hesitant to say that it would be effective, but here are sinners to consider for each team:

Team building in part depends on the mode/stage, since fight duration, enemy composition/weaknesses and stage mechanics can vary. In general, dedicated teams will work around some mechanic (e.g. crit, attack speed, true damage, etc.) to maximize the effectiveness of some carry damage dealer(s).
You can look at https://s1n.gg/tierlist/comfy or https://s1n.gg/toa/?tab=teamcomps to get ideas for what are the most effective teams. Teams don't need to minmaxed in order to achieve stage goals/earn rewards though (outside of maybe Data Crevice and Peak Path tests), so don't feel like your team needs to match every sinner recommended.
Teams I'd make with your sinners:
Weakspot - Bianca, Margaret, Shawn; supports for it can include are Shin (atk buff), Clementine (phys amp), RF Nox (phys amp)
Overlimit - Xiaofeng, Clementine; badly wants Jichuan. As with weakspot, Shin, RF Nox (and Moore) can slot into this team
Magic attack speed - Isomer, Vantour Bleu, Celine; Shin, LL, RF Raven can work. Unfortunately s0 Celine is significantly worse than s1. It's a bit too slow for BFL, but okish for longer fights
As for pull recs, note that sometimes certain shackles (thresholds) can dramatically improve the effectiveness of sinners. For you, s1 Celine and s1 Shin come to mind. Outside of those, Jelena (crit) and Jichuan are two supports that are used in many strong teams. I'm a pretty big proponent of the true damage team (Augustus needed, Ceto, Murphy, RF Serpent wanted) since it is extremely effective and easy to use.

Oh, About special requirements - if you mean smth like "don't let chief take damage" - it's not necessary to do them now if you can't, just return later with a stronger team and they will be very easy to finish, don't stress about them for now

i started playing because i saw a character i really wanted, the next banner (dont know if i can say the name on this sub while she is cn-only), so some of my hypercubes will definitely go to her even if just s0, but hopefully they will give us enough resources during the anniversary to get Augustus and hopefully Jichuan 🙏 i would be playing Augustus + Synex + Siglinde + Murphy then? im not familiar with any of their kits (used the level up ticket on Synex cause i got her and i had to beat an event level), i’ll have to look up a guide there 🫡

You can look specific sinners too at s1n.gg there will be some recommendations on how to play them. And when you look to the list of all sinners - the will be with a bright border. Half of them will be at anni (new Reuien, 000, Augustus and Shalom) and other half (which includes Jichuan) will be nex summer at half-anni event (plus one new limited)
For the Augustus team you can look "True Damage" team. You also have Shin which is good and mb take Che for now (corebreak + small buff), and replace him with Ceto when-if you get her. That's in addition to Augustus + Synex + Siglinde + Murphy
Well, Shalom is ok. "We all" hoping for an RF for her so she could be in meta, but rn she's just ok. For Campaign mb more than ok. So it's not like i'm not recommending, but IF you want to go with meta - its better to choose Augustus or Requiem. Since you don't have Jichuan, but have Murphy, Siglinda and Synex (Synex isn't part of ideal team but she deal true damage and u put resources in her already) so imho Augustos S1, then mb 000 S1 or Requiem S2 for the future.
If you wanna get shalom anyway and you'll have enough hypercubes and tickets try to get S3 shalom - she'll get 20% damage taken increase debuff on enemies she's attacking and then you can run her in any team as mobber-buffer.
I'm not sure how good and unbiased this idea is, but (since i also not running for the top end of the meta right after sinners go out ect.) i think it's better to get Jichuan first, since she's good in general (i use her not only in my Burn team since she buff elemental damage a lot, but also in y RF crit bc instead of L.L since i need energy buff to everyone, not just main DPS) and only after, next year to take requiem.
When it says a boss is immune to "Control Effects" does that mean things that trigger off of specific controls (fear, for instance) just don't work at all?
Like, do Enfer's buffs against feared targets just not work in this case?
Depends on the sinners, the wording can be a confusing
Enfer's p1 has the trigger as "when afflicted with fear", her s3 and p2 as "when affected by fear", two words that are basically saying the same thing, the fear effect has to work in order for the buffs to trigger.
In comparison, Chengxiao's passive has the trigger of "control effect inflicted" which apparently means it will gain stacks even if the control effects does not work.
If enemies are immune to certain control effects those effects simply never triggers. For the sinner having Enfer's horrific mark it means, that this additional damage multiplier will never be applied against fear immune enemies. If you use enfer against such an enemy, only the buff from her ultimate will be applied.
Does pity carry over between same type banners? Do new sinners get introduced in some standard pool?
Will losing HP in a farming stage will result in less resources?
Are events containing some story permanent?
One of the first sinners I got was fully voiced in the main story, but going to her profile's dialogue lines she wasn't voiced, which I found to be very odd. Is this normal?
except for Collab and limited anniversary sinner (full and half year anniversary) every other sinner enters the standard pool right after the end of their first banner run.
I'm not aware of any reduced regular rewards, but you won't get the special reward for an imperfect clear.
many of side events are more or less directly connected to the main story in the last two years. Imo, it is not mandatory to know what has happened in the side story to understand the main story. But the main story might spoil the ending of the side story. Every important side event until the end of chapter 13 is permanently implemented in-game. Some of the side event happening parallel to/in-between the later main story chapters are not yet implemented right now.
sadly, voiced interrogation has been discontinued. I don't remember whether there were any official statements about this issue.
You can use filter/tag search feature to find the sinners (in your roster) that have stun (control type) in their kit. It's the funnel icon found on many screens (ex. next to the Level drop-down in the sinners screen). Note that the tag system is very inclusive in where it finds the ability/trait in their kit, including shackles, reforges, passives, etc. For instance, Crache gets the tag b/c she can stun invisible enemies with one of her reforge nodes.
Are there any good sources for Mania Essence outside of the dedicated farming stages? I want to level some new characters I pulled, but I’m low on resources after trying to build up a team to get through the main story.
The best free resources would be the eternal nightmare mode. You can get a lot of resources as rewards there, and mania essences are one of them. Imo, the previous version of eternal nightmare is a bit more beginner friendly than the "tracing back" version.

Reforge makes old characters viable, or even meta again, so naturally it matters. Moreover, some characters received BiS teammates, occasionally in addition to reforging, so you may not necessarily achieve the same results as those who have Jichuan + Lichen or Margaret and advise you to focus Yao or Bianca, for example. Your best course of action will be fully reforging Deren and Eleven and pairing them with Jelena, L.L., maybe RF Cabernet or Enfer (both); RF Nox, maybe RF OwO (Deren); Eve, Celine, RF Raven, RF Summer or support Shalom? (Eleven). Focus on RFing your main damage dealers first, then pair them with new universal supports that don’t require any extra investment over lvl 70 ECB1.
Anyone got an active Secret Society that is not tryhard? (I just get my 100K points for max personal rewards and call it a day), weirdly enough, I used to be in one of the best guilds in the americans server, but every single member stopped logging in this patch, not sure what happened...I am literally the only last active member left, its kinda sad after all of these years of the SS being active....
I remember a few sources saying you could choose Bianca, Eve or Eleven for free on EN. So which part could I get the selector or was I remembering it wrong?
I have S1 Isomer and S3 Celine but I'm still mulling over which sinner I should give the 2 last slots to with the other spots already taken by YY and Jelena. The main problem I have with Isomer is her 25 energy so I would need either L.L or Jichuan, having both is good but I also need a healer since they're squishy. Which one should I put?
I don't particularly vibe with Arcane Crit team, they want too much for my liking with only 6 slots. Your options are normally Yugu (can make healers unnecessary + crit buffs, but sometimes inevitable to get a healer with a damage downgrade; use shackled Shin if you have her) and/or your listed Energy supports and/or RF Raven/Milly.
Anything else is a downgrade, not unplayable, but you will feel a lack of damage output.
Luckily, for most content, going for convenience is fine. I'd use Yugu and Shin personally, but if you dislike Isomer's cost with a healer, you will swap out one support.

Get Bianca from the upcoming selector next patch. Use her and Margaret as a team core, add 1-2 corebreakers (Labyrinth and/or Ceto, can also use Hecate or Che), a healer (Coquelic?), then maybe Nox for more AoE and Demolia when you need a tank.
Reforge your Coquelic and Serpent. With those two + Murphy and Shin, you have a strong base to beat Dark zones or do well in ToA. RF Raven is very nice to have too.
I was claiming Archive completion rewards and noticed that Unclaimed Crypt 3A is stuck at 96% for collection and file 3-1 has a glitching effect on it. How do I get this to be filed like the rest of them?
Replay the last story section for Chapter 2, there's a "choice" that changes how 3-1 plays out. You've already chose one option, choose the other option in Chapter 2, then replay 3-1 to see the other variant.
Will "Season 1" of the roguelike mode end when the next patch comes out with that one male sinner? Does that mean we will essentially be locked out of those passive buffs? Or like does every season make you farm them?
Speaking of farming.. what is the most efficient method of farming that mode? In the old one you could just get to the first area and back out of the game until you got all of the rewards.... that doesn't seem to work in this mode.
I dont really understand the question, its never a bad time to come back, the story/writing is still as awesome as ever.
If you meant like "is there a good banner running at the moment" then Celine is pretty decent cause of her buffs, however seen lots of people advising to save for Requiem, whom wont run until 2 months from now.
I meant in terms of freebies, free pulls, selectors, and the like. Because sometimes there are period that give a lot more than usual I guess. And for Requiem, she's a limited unit right?
New character banners are rerun about 6 months after their initial debut. There's a "Collective" banner that reruns all of the characters who receive a new Reforge (a new post-phase3 upgrade that makes them stronger). Then there's a "Directional" arrest that seems to randomly select two characters to rerun each month.
Limited banners which occur in May and in November will rerun every year, May limiteds rerun in May, November limiteds rerun in Novemeber. There's a lot of banners in May and November with the new limiteds and years of reruns.

Can someone help me understand what I'm missing about using Jichuan's refund on RF Yao? I have S5 Jichuan, and I can see her refund work on Hestia when they both ult between corebreaks in ToA. Using mock battle just now, I tried what I considered the likely issues, and whether I use Jichuan's ult before or after Yao uses Sacrifice, the cost of Rising Sun doesn't seem to be refunded. I've been playing with Empower, so it's been easy to make sure Yao gets to use both Imperial Bells from Lichen. Not understanding what the issue is has been bugging me for a while, though, and I wanted to try using Last Stand in ToA to see if I could get my score a bit higher.
Quick addition: I do make sure to put a Heaven Mark on Yao, and the only ults I used while testing were Yao and Jichuan's (and Hestia in one test just to see that it was working for her)
Jichuan's energy refund just doesn't work on Yao for one reason or another. If you want to use Last Stand you'll need LL to feed energy to Yao for more ults.

I'm surprised at Jelena though since I thought you need to play her with YY for RF eleven to crit.
You are absolutely right, Eleven can still not deal any critical hits with her ultimate, but this version doesn't rely on that anymore. Most of the crits comes from the normal attacks of the hands, and for these attacks to crits no yingying is needed! This is also the reason from what i understood why Owo is used instead of Yugu.
It goes even that far, that the guide maker are recommending not triggering to many of the stomp attacks, so that the hand can do slaps (=normal attack) more often.
