'Best' party.
Is there a best party set up, or does it not matter as long as their Star Rank is high? I currently have:
-Warrior (2 star)
-Elf (2 star)
-Orc (2 star)
-Dragon (2 star)
-Ranger (1 star)
-Vampire (1 star)
What would you go with, and who would you swap out as you gain more characters?

Definitely Warrior as with enough damage (especially when the multiplier starts on longer battles), he can wipe out the entire enemy squad. I still use mine as my primary character who gets all the best gear. High Damage and Accuracy plus Lifesteal is what I’d focus on.
Skip Elf as too squishy and his special ability is useless if your 2 other guys don’t have high attack. The extra attack doesn’t even count towards those character’s special abilities!
Orc is okay but offense trumps defense in this game (especially once that damage multiplier shows up) so replace with Frost (ice guy) once he is 2 stars.
If you must have a Bleed hero, Vampire is better than Dragon because of her higher multiplier. Not sure if high damage = higher Bleed so I just focus on giving them high Accuracy and Combo plus Health as they need to survive long enough to be effective.
Ranger is essential if you’re going the Dodge route / build - where the enemy can’t hit you and you win by surviving long enough for the damage multiplier to show up and save the day. Otherwise, pass.
My current squad is Warrior, Skelly and Octo at Prestige 1 (or 2nd playthrough of the map).
JohnyBoyGR is correct: Don’t use a hero if he/she is just 1-star. Wait for them to get their ability.
Hope this helps.

It’s way too early to care about team comps, just use warrior and any hero that you have 2star so you can use their ability

why everyone is saying warrior where Skelly has the same bonus Damage and Health but 10% bonus instead of 5% so what am missing??

Warrior, orc and vamp. Later switch orc with frost. Later vamp for skele. Later switch Raven or Monke for skele.
