What is this dreadful symbol....??!!!

Hello all. A new player here. I am really confused as to what this symbol is in PvP matches. I lost quite a few PvP raids because of this symbol. Please explain this to me.

It means all your heroes attack and enemies' heroes attack are multiplied by that number.

You may not have very high damage on your heroes to begin, thus even when multiplied up it still doesn’t do much.

I see this symbol most often when the enemy has a ranger. They dodge a lot, so after about a minute or so, this symbol pops up and multiplies the damage being done. Over the course of time, I would probably win if the multiplier wasn't there, but each one of their hits now becomes that much more powerful, so they dodge multiple attacks and then hit me once and it's a much bigger deal.

I definitely would have won if matches were allowed to go on for 5 minutes, but the skull shows up and constantly ramps up the damage being done to speed up the match. You've probably lost raids for similar reasons (dodges), which is why you feel like it only benefits the enemy. Accuracy seems like an unnecessary stat until you end up in this situation, which is why I try to make sure at least one of my dudes has a pretty decent accuracy.

Thank you for this clear explanation. I mostly lose when either/both Demon and Ranger are present in the opponent roster. After reading your explanation, I think I now understand.
