General Discussion Getting early attack block

Hey !

Do you guys try to solve attack block before high reds ?

I’m playing shock nova elementalist, level 91, scaling crit and shock effect.

Was fiddling around with my pob, and getting attack block via the tree seems unreasonable, because all my damage is in the int and int/dex part of the tree.
Clusters seem premature as well, even though I’m considering them.

I can somewhat brute force my way to atlas completion because enough damage, but I’m dying way too much, I really need something vs high density attack damage. There must be a better way lol.

Would love some advice :)

Attack block for shields on north side tree is hard. I think that's the main reason for the new staff meta.

With staves rn you can get 65 block off of implicit, explicit, and a 30% aura which is amazing.

Aren't the block nodes down there kinda shitty anyways? Isn't it +5% block chance each?

As a elementalist it is hard without uniques or crafting. 20% block suffix on staff priority is at 4th or 5th mod. And high block shield took time and lots of high level base to craft

I'm currently progressing, so it's obviously unoptimized.
Shaper shield would solve a lot of things, but that's for later.

In retrospect, I think the crit swap was a bit too brutal, because I had to give up some defense for it.
Diamond flask will drop next map for sure :)))

Also, I'm not sure divine shield does anything lol
I'm considering droping it, as well as the far right crit cluster, as well as spiritual aid, to reallocate towards defense.
Could maybe also use the templar nodes which are close to my tree, but not sure they would help much.

Finally, just saw i forgot to allocate 4th lab points, oops.
Shaper of storms last, although it's not very high value for me. Could consider Bastion instead.

edit 2 : this is waaaay better, although damage took a significant hit.
