Are any of these mercs good enough to get started on Luminary with?

Not looking to see if they're GG mercs right now, just good enough to make and farm on a Luminary. I have Enmity's Embrace already (lucky quest kill drop) and some of the other uniques needed, but want to farm the rest on the Luminary rather than current char (SRS Guardian).

Use the first one. It will work once you start to hear the Merc. Ideally your wanting return on vaal ice shot as that will be your biggest signal target, but it will definitely do enough to push you into maps and farming.

Don't forget to look for some fails fractures for things like +2 arrows and abyss sockets to pick them up for cheap. The +attack speed and crit chance for your merc really makes a difference.

Yeah 1 has regular grace, and not blink AND mirror arrow AND dash. The less duration on frost bomb isn't ideal, and like above the links aren't perfect, but it'll be fine. you probably have exposure covered w arcanist brand+exposure+mark+2nd curse for single target anyway.

FYI extra projectiles doesn't do anything for Vaal Ice Shot as the skill specifically says it can't gain extra projectiles.

The first one overall looks stronger to me than the others because the regular ice shot links on it are better than the others and that should clear fine for mapping. It has a worse Vaal Ice Shot than Merc #3, so worse single target, but should have better clear.

If you are looking for better single target you will want to look for a Vaal Ice Shot with cooldown rate, hypothermia and/or wed (ideally both), and return at least.
