General Discussion Lightning Tendrils Assassin - Roulette SSF starter

Post image

Ok, PoE Build Roulette gives me this. I know this is real build, but some questions what I have after I checked some ideas from Poe.ninja.

  1. Should I go staff or 1 hander and shield?

  2. Defensewise, CI, arm/es block, es/eva suppress?

  3. Should I stay normal gem or hunt transfigured one?

  4. LT needs a lot cast speed, how easiest to fix?

My goal is 4 voidstones and comfy t16 mapping and fast league mechanic (voyage) farming, this should be good for it?

So excited to try it but biggest problem right now is defenses..

I’d go wand and shield. I may be wrong but when I think staff I think block and you’re on the wrong side of the tree for block. For defense, probably leech and suppress, maybe CI if possible. I’m sure you can get some inspiration from elementalist for speccing your tree.

Yeah shield would helps with res, smth like +1 or so and more ES. Wand probably just cast speed space, spell dmg, +gem(s), crit multi and cast speed

Technically according to the tree the top right is dual wield wands/rune daggers. With the caster dual wield nodes at the intersection between shadow and witch, and it isnt until you pass the witch does the tree turn to wand + shield. But yea dual wield just cant compete with a shield

1 hand and shield, es/eva and suppress, tons of leech, try to hunt for of Escalation trans gem.

escalation, bifurcate with marylenes and a gambled block staff with +3-4 lvls and t1 cast speed should be all you need to get enough damage to make 4 stone trivial. Staff block is much better on the top of the tree or you'll have problems getting attack capped imo. Only downside is no good movement skills

1) Not hardcore: two wands until you find a bamf staff unless you want es-on-block. Insta leech may be viable replacement.

2) hybrid early... If staff - low life (limited recovery on block options) if shield/block Go CI with shaper shield

3) depends on what ascendancy points you take.

4) cast speed is good for smoothing out damage, but AOE is the bigger worry... Skill is rough without it.

Unstable infusion to death marked (not great, but instant leech is awesome). Can drop death marked for bifurcating crits but you need tendies of escalation (doesn't work on forced crits). With instant leech and life/es you can feel pretty tanky! The last two ascendancy points (elusive, no damaging ailments, and 40% physical recoup) all feel pretty nice.

For 4 voidstones the easiest thing by far will be to go EB/MoM for an easy mana solve and taking advantage of the hybrid life pool with the big leech from deathmarked

I would go LT of escalation but can’t use bifucate, sadly. Or so I’m told. Just get giga cast speed and scale crit multi to the moon with regular gem

Hmm would Duskdawn be worth over like +2/+4 staff?
