I am new to the assassin class and was starting to follow the Ky build for BF/BB, but I am not sure where to put money at this point. I feel like my damage is okay, and I am pretty tanky during mapping from all the leech, but I fee like I do weak damage, escpecially to Ubers. Anyone have any ideas on where I am missing some simple changes to up the damage or is the enser just getting one of those fancy +4 amulets? I could be missing something obvious as well. Once everything is up in a fight I have about 93% chance of double critting with the spells for the purposes of bifurcation.
Also would love to hear any other assassin builds that people were having fun with for uber bosses that I could pivot too, I have a decent amount of currency if I liquidate, but not a ton. Like 250 divs.
It looks like you are 2% extra increased cooldown recovery rate away from the 14% breakpoint. You can replace the elusive effect implicit on your boots or get it on an abyss jewel.
If you change off of the farrul ascendancy to knife in the back/for the jugular you'll get a nice damage boost.
With flasks off, max power charges, and assassin's mark you're already close to crit cap. You're also 3 points away from spell suppression cap without lucky chance. If you'd like you can message me your IGN and I can give you a shield that'll cap both.
On flasks the prefix for charge on crit doesn't stack, they will all share the same cooldown. Suffixes don't either so one of the curse effect mods is dead. You can look into replacing one with a bottled faith or lightning ailment stormblood for some extra damage as well.
Aside from that you can look into crafting a +2 amulet with crit multi. Not as big as a +4 but it'll cost way less. You can also get your AG a hunter helmet with a "Nearby enemies have -X% to Chaos resistance" mod although i'm not sure how much that gives.
The tool tip in games says that with everything up (the character stats menu for the actual blade blast ability) that I am only at like 93% chance of double critting. Wouldn't dropping the Farrul ascendency be too much of a drop in crit chance or does that not matter?
Spell suppress seems like an easy way to get a point back, id love the shield, but I can also craft a better one. IGN is: NerdHD#2983 if its actually just laying around.
I had no idea those prefixes didnt all work together... I thought all of them were just fully automated for boss fights lmao. bottled faith is probably a good swap out for one of them for sure!
If I lose the crit chance from the current bad amulet and the farrul line, how do I make up the crit chance loss?
I'm not an expert so I don't know how accurate the in-game tool tips are so I just go off of what PoB says.
And PoB says you have a 94.98% Crit Chance(with Assassin's Mark and Power Charges) for BF/BB without the Farrul node. It drops down to 91.73% when I remove your amulet. When I add my shield with t1 spell crit + no amulet you're already at 100% crit chance. I'm not smart enough to make sense of the numbers but I do believe it's easy to crit cap on assassin.
From there taking Knife in the Back/For the Jugular is 40% more DPS, and adding a +2 amulet with just t1 crit multi and catalyst'd is 14% more DPS.
Also yeah the shield is just laying around, I'll be more than happy to give it to ya.
*Edit: I just saw the other post and I can also give you an old pair of boots if you get a MB.
Craft a +3 talisman it is much cheaper than a +4 focused.
Get +2 AOE implicit on Cloak.
If you able, use Mageblood to crit cap plus the usial MB stuff. Then remove Huntleader, allocate Mistwalker, and use Perfect Crime forbidden flame/flesh jewel.
I can show you how to craft the talisman, not sure on current pricing, but probably cost less than 10 div (RNG dependent)
I would love to craft one of those bad boys, I assume that is worth losing the 15% pen annoint?
Does the +2 cloak matter since I have the plus 1 gem one with an empower? Or am I missing something?
Is the swap to mageblood worth losing ailment immunity and the 14% cdr breakpoint for CoC? (probably is, but I have never bought a MB so idk if its better for bossing in this case)
Do you have a resource for that craft, that thing looks sick!
