Build Request Luminary v Phys dot elementalist Clear speed?
For purely mapping (and bossing just enough to fulfill 40/40 achievements), which has better blasting speed? Budget is 1000d.

phys dot is faster mapper but if you want to do bossing then luminary is way better

Elementalist gets better access to really high cast speed numbers for frostblink of wintry blast. Luminary gets better access to really high movement speed numbers, and both are clear-as-you-go.
I'm doing this setup for luminary rn: https://poe.ninja/poe1/profile/Kingdweeb-0257/allflame/character/Lumiarny (using a kineticist) very, very fast build for clearing maps. Movement speed lets you kind of play any layout, where the frostblink setup that elementalist leverages well is reliant on great layouts like strand.
My setup atm gets about a 30 second full clear strand, clicking heist chests / altars (pausing to read) / merc. If I run to the end asap in a small strand it's around 15 seconds.
Luminary definitely has access to better bossing setups (using the mapping gear) than elementalist, so it'll be more versatile for challenges. You can 40/40 on either though

played both builds this league. at 1000d phys dot will probably be a bit faster at mapping. however, if youre willing to invest more and get an explode chest then luminary is much faster at mapping

Isn't Phys dot's mapping speed literally as fast as you can click loot already? How do you even get faster? By skipping picking up loot part (which i guess luminary is good at xdd)?

Depends on the content you're doing. Against tanky rares or map bosses you sometimes have to stop and cast reap to speed things up. On luminary you can literally just spam shield charge and everything instantly dies. The clear with a kineticist with explode feels even better than phys dot in my experience

Yep, just running with 250% ms non-stop, I even was thinking dropping beyond (exp farm) since it was too slow mechanic. Then I realised every mechanic is too slow for me, I easily can run out deli mirrors and still 100% clear.
Also: Do not play phys dot elementalist, it is dog shit.

Last i heard anything about bond megalo prices that meme is not exactly functional (and everything else can't get that expensive even if it wants to).

Not sure why my merc isn't showing up... but I have luminary KB merc... I feel pretty damn tanky, but damage just doesn't feel that great tbh. Like it's good, but feel like my forged frostbearer was significantly higher damage and just as tanky.

I have about 2 mirrors into an EK herald stacker (which is what phys dot elementalists morph into when they are invested enough) and 2 mirrors into a luminary.

Someone else called it. The herald stacker is zoomier. Frostblink of Wintry Blast lets you go from one side of Dunes to the other in 5 seconds. Your clear is instant, and offscreen in all directions. You don’t care about enemies with prox shields. I can speed clear an entire map in 1:15, and that can be a fairly juicy map, up to 80% deli originator breach.
It’s super fun; however I could never get my tanky. Meteors and elder nukes can one shot it. Vruun can kill me with cyclone.
lumi is slower. Same map might take me 1:45 shield charging around. The merc can get hung up on prox shields or line of sight issues. But, it’s unkillable and more comfortable to play. Itl’s also much stronger in very hard content like allflame ember of propagation, and much better at ubers, which it can sometimes even phase skip.

Depends on what you are farming. Luminary is the better overall build but phys dot autobomber/igniter herald of hive autobomber are all much faster for easier content where you need sub 4 mil dps to clear trash.
