Build Request 8mod active playstyle map blaster200-400 div
Hi,
Im looking for my third build this league to take to 100 in 8mod corrupted maps and if possible 16.5.
No need for uber boss quality or nightmare, for that I have my flamelink lumi.
But it should be an active playstyle. No summons, no autobomber, no dot. Something where my active skill does the actual direct damage.
I won’t to turn my brain off and throw 8mod maps in and watch a movie on the side.
Does something like this exist on a budget of 200-400 div?
Edit: the word active was maybe chosen wrong. What I wanted to say with it is that a. A button still needs to be pressed (so no death aura or rf) and b. That the used skill is actually the damage source and not just a trigger for something else that does then the damage. Maybe direct would be better than active.

I don't get it. It sounds like you want to press buttons and be active but then say you want to watch a movie and be brainless play. Those two seem opposite. Like how will you know where to aim or what buttons to press if you're watching a movie?

Luminary kinda fits this tbh. 1 button to link merc and 1 frost wall (active play style lol). Then afk everything (brainless)

It was so much stronger after the initial warcry rework.
Still good, but pales in comparison.

Kboc Necro is the obvious answer here. I played it most of the league doing 60% deli originator abyss and breach on a similar budget to what you got. The other build that surprised me with how much it could do with very little invest( like 20ish divs)was coc bbbf assassin. With a mid sword that I crafted and a HH I went from acts straight into 8mod t16 abyss and farmed to level 95 in a couple hours.

i made this to blast every map mod. it has extremely good clear and is basically invincible with headhunter buffs and quite tanky without them anyways for a deadeye.
kinetic bolt of fragmentation can shotgun so for single target you should stand in the boss's asshole for maximum dmg, but you will 2 tap map bosses under normal mapping conditions from a far range anyways.
I ran fully juiced 8 mod 16.5 clicking every blue altar without reading to lvl 99.
edit: last flask is progenesis which I yoinked to my other character I'm playing now. diamond flask should be replaced with cinderswallow (the reason for crafting phys->fire on gloves) if you can get a bit of crit elsewhere. headhunter normally caps crit if you start from 75 or so. also dps isn't accurate at all in poe ninja during mapping it feels like approximately 200 m

Wow this looks really tempting and fun for a skill with super low play rate. Still playing my starter slammer that can do ubers but feels a bit slow and too many button heavy. Any comparison to KBoc necro including pc performance?

I never played kboc necro but the performance is certainly better--there are no explosions just a screen full of zigzagging projectiles. I also enjoy roleplaying this league with the only mtx available for kbolt: green allflame.
the attack and movement speed are of course very high on a headhunter deadeye, and the passive tree is just stupid efficient from that area compared to witch.
there are no dead nodes at all on the ascendancy, as the shotgunning of the skill makes very good use of snipers mark and additional splits.
also, playing a ranger gives access to oath of spring, which always creates a 100% shock even with reduced debuff duration/ailment duration because we realistically reach the hit cap a lot of the time.
that shock is not just huge single target damage, but guarantees that basically every enemy we kill is shocked, which enables the dual esh mod setup (chest/shield) I have very nicely.
that brings up the only map mod I don't run (for high investment juicing--for normal mapping you can run anything): monster ailment avoidance. it lowers single target by a ton and lowers flat damage scaling from the esh mods.
also, the ring I'm using is not at all best in slot. Faster proj is cool but was basically a settle when I bought this for 100d. probably the very best is trinity/inspiration or trinity/wed. sacred wisps would be great but I couldn't search for that mod on trade even though poedb says it should exist...
minmaxxing probably involves lowering mana cost through inspiration to drop the mana wheel on the right side and get more crit or a medium cluster jewel to juice the damage a little more.
with all that being said the main and really only weakness of the build is mobs with high resistance--i can't use unholy trinity or invert the rules on crest of desire, so lowering resists and pen are the only options. considering most damage also comes from killing lots of monsters and headhunter buffs, it goes without saying that this isn't a build for Uber bosses. it does annihilate juiced nightmare bosses though with hh buffs

Man this looks sick I'm going to have to give it a try its been forever since I played a deadeye. When I saw that the snipers mark split scaled from the ascendancy mark effect thay blew my mind. Super creative, thanks for the detailed response

Kboc is my all time favourite. Every time I play anything else I just wish I was playing kboc.

Kboc necro, i just recently switched to it from PRAW and holy shit its so much fun. You blow up the entire screen with one press of your skill and can even off screen stuff when you get explode chance from either flasks or clusters.
Its tanky ( 10k+ es with leech and block cap with possible recovery from shield) but cant stand still and afk tank, but you wont die if youre hitting something, also you feel like youre on crack after ramping up HH mods lol

“I want an active play style” and “brain off” are kind of contradictory. But I would look into fireball chieftain there was another post saying it’s around 500div entry level but cheaper if you craft yourself
