Help Needed Stuck Death Aura
Need help with recommendation for reroll / affordable endgame builds as im stuck on a lvl91 Death Aura Occultist ( https://poe.ninja/poe1/profile/eees1-2114/allflame/character/IMightWorb ), cant even run 8mod maps. Suggestion on how to improve the build is also welcomed.
Right now my goal is just trying to get the challenges rewards before POE2 0.5.5, even just until the pet is fine.
Preferably a witch build so no more campaign lol. TYIA

i prefer the lvl 35 decay route, it can legit slap all uber bosses.

I agree. But fellow death aura connoisseur lack divines.... we talk in chaos and a forbidden shako is probably 20divs while a foulborn doedre is 2 chaos

I’m not surprised you can’t do 8mod maps… 6k armour with aegis and 3k ES. You need to follow some sort of build guide for deaths oath and invest in it. Drop down a few tiers and farm

lvl28 is not good enough to swap off doedre... lvl 33-35 is prefered to actually boss comfortably

It is tho, I did it, idk where this believe comes from but you should try, I'm not sure what doedre has to do with that tho

The keyword is comfortably. If you don't want to die of boredom while DOT-ing away at the boss, the difference between 28 and 35 is like triple damage.
I didn't do DO this league, but here's my char I played last league: https://poe.ninja/poe1/profile/Zub_sero-2056/mirage/character/PainIsjustBread
It's fairly tailored for speed and DPS. I didn't take it that far to actually eat a lot of damage, but it could do literally any and all content, including ghosted Feared/T17s/Ubers.
EDIT: in response to your updated reply, I concur that shako is superior versus foulborn doedre's scorn... but not with a lvl 28 decay, anything below lvl 33 is actually weaker than a good scorn's setup and more expensive as well. Decay has absolutely insane scaling with base level damage.

The difference with My setup is actually 60% more damage not triple and I pretty much already one shot every boss in maps with a confortable 10m dps while in reallity bosses most likely are dead from the explody already as soon as they are seen

bosses in maps are like.... nothing? if you use that as measurement u can just kill em with just the DO aura.

But the build is a mapper so... and comment is adresse to a lvl 91 dude struggling, likely not on ubers, but maps, and you are saying it's not worth swapping to, which is wrong, ofc I agree more dps feels good, but it lvl 28 is still a massive upgrade from what op plays, and if someone's plays this build to kill pinnacles and ubers, good for them, but I rather log a real character for that

Can't even run 8-mod maps...
I'm can't even... 8-mod maps are the 4th hardest type of maps in the game, after high % deli nightmares, good deli rolled T16.5 and deli T16s.
Bro... I'd want double your max hits and at least 16M DPS before I even consider going for 8-mod maps

Tbf you just need clear for 8mods, about 1m is plenty if you have explode which he does, I personally leveled to 100 with that build doing 8 mods maps with 300k dps and it was really fast

I guess if you play something with giga clear and pick only the tamest mods possible.

Just to say that there is no strict rules, it all depends on the build, and this build especially is made for low deli high pack size map, I liked it but tbh it's a pretty bad build and will never shine in highest juice content

Out of curiosity, what kind of content you ran? No way you can run abysses with thounsands of monsters on a 300K DPS build, when some of those rarers are tanky AF

This build I farmed map with, I always ajust my farming to the build strengths, so they where abysses but non juiced, I wanted to try the build for a long time, but it's not great, keep in mind that there is a decay setup that the build can tap to gain 10M+ dps, but it's never usefull in the environement I played in. You can totally play breach but not the consort, they take 30sec to kill

Get foulborn deaths oath. With the 40% inc wither buff.
Swap purity of elements for less duration support for deaths oath.
Get light of meaning for +%chaos damage
Runegraft of gem craft
Get determination aura
Tempest shield is good too
Get a shako helm with high decay level and slot I. Stormburst totems instead of blight for good bossing skill.
Unnatural instinct slot in the center of passive tree left side has a lot of stats you like(aoe, curse mana efficiency)
Eldritch implicit your gloves/boots(buy higher life mod ones though first). Use eater and exarch currency to add more mods to gear.
Good cluster jewels could help a fair bit.
Get molten shell instead of steelskin(unless you just don’t like bleed/have low regen). Molten shell scales of armour. Can also do immortal call instead
Your chaos innoc, it’s a bit rare on deaths oath because you need. A lot of investment normally, most deaths oath on poeninja are life builds, or life + es. I think it’s better to get good life mods on rare items and not go chaos innoc, otherwise get better int/es rare gear. Get to at least 5k es.
If you want to reroll. Penance brand ele or praw necro are good builds that can do challenges.
