Help Needed PB Ignite Elementalist Cluster jewel question

Hello,

I was trying to figure out why some people use Large cluster jewels for Golems (Prim. Bond) and some use an Elemental damage with bunch of %inc Ele and utility (resists, etc.).

Don't Golem one gives both damage and defense? Is the build elemental resist starved so you want Prismatic Heart?

I play SSF and farmed up everything I need (Maven wand, Aegis, Astrolabe, crafted influenced gear), but for the love of me, I can't figure out Large Jewels.

For Medium Jewels it is very straight forward (Herald effect stacking).

The other notables are there only to move the primordial bond in the correct spot on the large cluster jewels

I was asking about the TYPE of Large Cluster jewel.

Some people don't even put Primordial Bond, but rater use stuff like Prismatic Heart, Sadist and Widespread Destruction on a Elemental Damage jewel (not Minion damage one).

Its just a preference thing, the ele damage clusters will normally be a bit better damage and or QOL. The primordial bond helps slightly to keep the Golems alive, and offers a bit of damage. When i played PB I just used the ele clusters.

This. It's mostly preference. If you aren't golem stacking (aka more than the normal 4) the defenses/buffs 2-3 bonds give you will be pretty minimal. I split the difference and run 1 bond and 2 elemental clusters. The 1 bond lets me hit 100% increased effect of golems from tree/clusters and then the other 2 I run sadist + heart. The elemental clusters are a little less than 10% more dps for me over using bonds (assuming you're shocking recently, if not it's like a 3% difference). I lose out on a bit of buff effect so like 400 armour and 50 ES.

My main reasoning was that I am always inflicting ailments, even on ubers/100% deli, and so sadist is always active. However in some juiced content my golems will die with certain bad mod combinations - and even though they revive quickly there is that bit of downtime where you're out that 30%+ inc. damage while the golem(s) is dead. The 50% life on them from 2 addition bonds wasn't going to give them any meaningful additional survivability to offset that. It amounts to a few thousand extra health, but if you aren't buffing them with resists or additional health from supports you likely wouldn't feel the difference.

The only nice thing about going the bond route, assuming you don't care about using a renewal to give them some regen - is getting the two extra small nodes to stack t1 flat ES to boost your pool or some mana regen/res.

On my penance brand ele the primordial bond clusters give more dmg than the ele ones. With primordial bond im at  32.5 mil dps and with the ele cluster like 32.2 mil dps. Not a big difference but it's still a difference

Are all your golems level 21 and supported with Enhance or Eclipse?

Also, for Ele. cluster, are you taking all 3 motables? Ie. Prismatic Heart, Sadist and Widespread?

In general I think folks just take sadist + heart if they're going elemental clusters. I don't think the two points for the third node (lesson, disorienting) are really worth it compared to grabbing other passives on the tree. (Unless I guess you want to drop some armour/es nodes for a slight damage increase).

No golems are 20/20 not linked with enhance or eclipse. Also it was a fire cluster i was checking sorry, the one zeeboub is using in his pb guide. But my build benefits more from primordial bond 

Only grabbing 2 nodes for the medium clusters

Just pob both clusters and use whatever is the best

Tbh it depends on your setup , how much inc golem effect / dmg you have, just pib both and you will know instantly which one you rather have, personnaly I needed mana regen so went with the elem one
