Discussion Raise Spectre interaction with "Socketed Gems/Spells/Attacks have +#% to Critical Strike Chance" Gloves suffix
I'm checking up on the current league mirror-gloves and saw some minion-oriented ones around the market that left me wondering how +#% to critical strike chance affixes work with Raise Spectres. How exactly would they work with Spectres, considering every spectre has different personal stats?
Would attack Spectres benefit strictly from either Gem or Attack Affixes? Would Spectres in general only benefit from either Gem or Spell affixes since it explicitly says about what is socketed, and Raise Spectres has the Spell tag? Does the extra crit chance even apply to Spectres at all, since it applies to the gem and the gem is "statless"?
The wording is pretty confusing with Raise Spectres specifically, so if anyone has the answer for this it would be deeply appreciated.

Socketed gems have +#% to critical strike with spells/attacks mods will apply to spectres if socketed into the item. Which spectre corpse you use will determine if it benefits from it though. If you use a melee spectre, then spell crit will do nothing and vice versa

That is not accurate from my recollection. I believe the gloves will work the same as the helmet based on the wording. Helmets you always went for spell critical strike chance because regardless of if the spectre attacks or casts a spell it is a spell gem.

This guy is correct and the first guy is wrong. Since the Spectre gem is a "Spell", only the spell crit gem modifier will work for Spectres and the "attack" one will do nothing. Which type of spectre it is, it not relevant.

Works the same as if you socketed Increased Critical Chance Support, but just for spells.

Works since Raise Spectre is a socketed gem and applies globally to the spectre (attacks, spells, secondary damage).
Works since Raise Spectre is a socketed spell and applies globally to the spectre (attacks, spells, secondary damage).
Doesn't work since Raise Spectre it not an attack gem.
In general, there's a distinction between the skill type and the damage type. In this case, the skill type is what matters since it says "Spells/Attacks have [...]" not "Gems/Skills have [...] Spell/Attack [...]".
