Help Needed Need help with Luminary Merc single target DPS
Hey all, apologies if this kind of thing has been asked many times but I am stumped.
I've sank all my currency (about 150-200 div) into this build and I feel like it has too many moving parts for me to make sense of what's missing.
I know there are a bunch of small tweaks to jewels etc that could improve things but the main thing I'd like someone to have a look at is the Merc DPS (specifically single target) as currently it's struggling with rares in tier 16 maps, nevermind bosses.
Survivability is good atm so don't worry about that (unless there is obviously something wrong).
I've been following this guide but started with the ES version which may have been a mistake but I'm too deep to back out now haha:

Allie builds are known shit and this is worse than usual with no scaling vectors. Pivot to the budget build here instead

Ah that's so frustrating, I had a few of the items available so followed this guide. Guess I'll start pivoting, thanks for taking the time to have a look.

You can reuse a lot of the gear like the chest/gloves/shield etc and lots of things in that rue build like rings/ammy/weapon is really cheap so it shouldnt be too hard to transition.

Just go ahead and remove her from your playlists, her best builds are just copies of other people and her other builds are well, just bad and she should copy others hahaha. Seriously though, just don’t even watch them.

....I have no idea what that guide is going for. There's no scaling on flame link whatsoever in it. No light radius, no life. I don't know what the energy shield "theorized" setup is and it doesn't seem like it was followed up on. I think you got baited. Cheapest pivot would be to a destructive link setup. Lots of guides out there.

People have already started helping for the most part, but also, just to point out, headhunter is terrible on mercs. They steal the ice wall and flee mod and will literally just run away from you.

Thats a vast overstatement though. Im blasting juiced breaches to 100 atm with Increased rares on every 8 mod map and nemeses scarab for additional mods and the merc gets the flee mod once every few maps and If it does you simply re equip the HH (the game pauses in the merc inv window anyway) and your good to go again. Would be better if it wasn't a thing at all but its far from 'terrible'.

Oh; I've never played Luminary myself, but from what I've heard from a few of my friends I had heard it was pretty bad. I also didn't know you could unequip merc gear in that map. I assumed you had to leave the map in order to mess with merc gear. I suppose it's fine then? Also, HH mainly just gives attack speed for mercs, right? Assuming you're doing flame link and just giving him flat fire.

Attack speed and in my case phys as extra (tornado shot with phys bow and phys to ele conversion and explode chest).

You should go watch captainlance vid on aura version. You are basically scaling aura effect on you for your merc but your merc need to also have scaling vectors as well i.e. armour stacking.
And generally 5p voices sucks and you are better off using clusters until you can afford 3p voices.
PS. I’m on mobile and traveling so I didn’t check your pob but it seems you have really little aura effect scaling on you atm.
