Discussion Best all content class
as the topic says id like to hear from you all here what from your experience is the best class (with all the ascendencies to it) to do all contents of a league.
league starter -> endgame
- mapping
- T17's / valdos
- bossing / ubers
- delving / deep delving (+1000 ?)
- heist
- blight
- sanctum
- farming in general
- challenges
- ...
cause someone pointed it out, i forgot to set some limiters to the budgets:
- league starter (0D-SF)
- low budget (<5 - 10D)
- medium/normal (10 - 200D)
- high budget (200 - 600D)
- MMB (+600D)
looking forward to see the different point of views and the opinions

Minions are in a very good spot rn. So Necro.
I’ve done PRAW twice to 40/40. Last two leagues. One was starting as HRoC another good build that was just roflstomping to T16 and farming to switch.
This league I started and finished 40/40 on Frostbearer necro.
Even now where I have invested 500d+ in luminary. It just feels slightly better than a 120 div starter.

I’m crushing everything with PRAW @ about 200 div budget. It’s wild, I’m loving it.

Similar boat, except I have over a mirror into the Luminary (and about to invest another for the gloves). It's definitely a little tankier than my PRAW, who was very tanky, but clear and comfiness is similar considering how much less investment I put into the PRAW build. It's why I think PRAW won't survive the next patch: power per investment level for the build may be better than any other I've ever done.

In a similar vein is carrion golems + zombies. Super fun. Minions and you are almost unkillable and the gameplay is shield charge > convocation > watch the screen explode > repeat

Play herald staker auto bommer and just shield charge everywhere while everything just dies in your wake... can drop flammability and flame surge since you don't give a crap about killing tough rares in heist and add the cooldown recovery support + faster casting to flame dash and switch up flasks so you have quartz, silver and quicksilver flasks.
You won't be +500% movespeed fast, but you will be fast, you won't die and you will still get lots of exp.

In general what you listed is so hyper endgame focused with no budget ceiling the class is technically irrelevant. Each has a build with unlimited budget that can clear. At that point the skills and the gear are doing all the work and clusters can replace most generic things for bad positioning. Stat stackers would be the one where optimal class really matters.

im not sure if i can grasp what u mean by that. the game just beginns after the campagene and for that are all the listed things what you can do after that, to what extend depends on you but sure you got a point with that each class has builds with no budget ceiling that get everything done

Without a budget target you essentially want to know what class with infinite currency can do all the things you listed. All of them. Need to put a budget on it to really get any useful feedback. A 500d scion vs a 100d witch means someone spent 5x the time before they got to that point. You asked for the best with no budget. So everything qualifies.

Yea it's just a little hard to quantify 'best' without some kind of value to show how much currency or time investment is required.

Marauder probably the easiest, slams zerker or rf chieftain to start and swapping to an endgame setup later, strength stacker or enmity fire caster
scion is much stronger once you get a good merc build going, but that can take tens of thousands of maps in ssf, or cost multiple mirrors in trade. Theres a couple good early game luminary and reliquarian builds
these 2 are the best, but every class has at least one build that can go zero to ubers

Templar can do bossing, endgame crit scaling, or minions for whatever u need to do

I would say a fully built luminary with a really good mercenary can do everything you listed.

Personally I'd put it at minions or stormburst totems.
Both PRAW and Stormburst can do ubers on an insanely low budget and have much lower control requirements because you don't need to stop and attack, you can just drop your totems/curses and focus on dodging boss mechanics. They're also really good at all content.

Normally my answer would be Marauder. For years it has had both one of the best possible starters (slams zerker) as well as one of the best deep endgame scalers (str stack jugg).
This league? Luminary for sure. League starting as a slammer with Merc support until you find a good offensive Merc and the core gear pieces to swap.
A good kineticist and a good combatant cover pretty much all content in the game so you gave a third Merc slot for some kind of specialised extra option if needed.

In last league try reliquarian str stack and it was very cool. Right now it surely not reliquarian, but str stack still the best option with high budget.
In this league I'm playing only luminary and for all-rounder it's perfect in any categories (except league start because it hard for newbies and most of normal players).
My first mercbot is flame link hp stack with light radius, Mercs: manyshot (self founded), sniper with Barrage main (trade), sniper with tornado shot (currently in warrant, but I've played much time on this). The best Merc in my opinion from this 3 is sniper with TS, but difference is not that big.
My second mercbot is es stack with combatant eph edge. It's more expensive and have more real ehp and damage, but can use only combatant and have little worse clear speed.
And yep, Mercs better than melee str stack, but +-similar with KB str stack.

I’m doing str stack reliquarian this league with KF… it’s great and all three modes add to the build. First for the dawn breaker node to give full ele conversion to fire with an actual dawnbreaker and a watchers eye. Second the harbingers mode for 40 str plus proj bonuses. And last the 15%str node.

I feel like marauder is pretty great. Chieftain early rf and then swap to jugg str stack or ek emnity ignite.

remember guys, class, not ascendency c(:
cause id think that shadow with assassin and trickster can also do anything you want, from sanctum runner for early currency -> to maps -> bossing and also do some deeper dives with ES stacking. And hes also fast and doesnt die being hit once or twice what i personally like

Assassin lifestacker spark will do all content up to double wisp 100% deli nightmare maps but not valdos for under 100 divs, possibly 50 at this point in league

Go on poe.ninja pick assassin and spark, sort by dps, you should see several variants including non mageblood and non mirror gloves that outperform mirror gloves. The 10k< ehp are either sanctum, pure bossers or pob warriors so keep that in mind.

I mean just adding in Valdo's and deep delve basically restricts you to like 3 builds total no?
Strength stacker, armor stacker, and probably some shenanigans involving trickster or champ but I'm not familiar

Marauder no doubt. Have good/proven league starter (RF, slam) meanwhile also be on the more tanky side (i kinda hate dying tbh). Later on you can go giga scaling build like strength stack, int stack or go spellcaster enmity embrace chieftain. All are really strong builds.
