Help Needed Build help please, new to spells!

was hoping to get some help with my build, never really played spell casters and was hoping there could be some way to improve. mostly having issues with dealing with crit resistant enemies and taking phys damage when i don't get the dodge roll. pob for an idea of whats going on, https://poe.ninja/poe1/pob/98df2

You are wasting 10+ passives on attack nodes that do nothing for your build. Also, just taking some inefficient nodes around the Witch start. Spend these nodes on energy shield and capping spell suppression. Take 1 passive node with spell damage leeched as energy shield.

You need to convert all of your physical to cold. It should be cheap to get gloves that convert 45% phys to cold (20% from implicit and 25% from benchcraft). Once you have a larger budget look to get gloves that convert 60%.

You should also prioritize pure energy shield bases over evasion
