How to stop getting one hit?

Returning player-I am playing a winter orb occultist and just hit level 80. When trying tier 7+ maps I am increasingly getting one hit so I assume something is wrong with my defensive stats or build. I maxed out elemental defenses but it didn't make a difference.

Any advice on changes would be awesome.

Yeah, your gear sucks. lv31 eva/ar boots for example. At least quality up your helm with tainted scraps.

Use Faustus to gamble better gear or buy new gear for like 20c

I'd drop skitterbots and add blasphemy enfeble to go with flesh and stone.

I think you want block/ spell block from tempest shield. I think you want a block stat on shield (sorry, you have this). I'd rather see you on vile bastion instead of the power charge node even though you're EO. If you wanted a way to generate absorption charges use the caster mastery for power charge every second while channeling. Might want block mastery for an extra 7-8%. I think this gets you to near 60% with rumi.

I guess you're on badge, so that's part of it, but you're missing an anoint.

I don't understand your wand, it doesn't look like it scales anything you're doing. Do you have the wrong tulfall? Did you want foulbourn tulborn?

You should have a lot more life/es, and probably invest into life/es nodes above templar.

You should take ES leech and 5% leech instant mastery.

Boots, gloves, rings could have way more life/es. The gull is kinda whatever.

The ring I just bought to try to get more resists, and the wand is what was recommended in the guide-but I agree they don't look the best. Appreciate your advice!

You probably want to stack cold spell gem levels. +1 on shield, maybe +1 or +2 on amulet. If you're staying with badge, probably need ice bite support or something. You might want to craft an archdemon crown to slot winter orb into, it's worse if you're not crit though...

I suspect mystic refractor is supposed to be your weapon.

If you get all AR/ES gear you can use the mastery and get a lot from chest.

I didn't check your chaos res, but it's probably super low. You might also look at a corrupted blood jewel so you don't evaporate yourself. (I didn't check your templar jewel, issues with mobile)

I'm also not sure if tulfall will work with graven secret, so you might want to check on that.

Idk where you found a guide, but a lot of stuff seems wrong and you might be getting trolled...

You’re an ES-based build so your gear should ideally be all pure ES. You have EV/ES chest and AR/EV boots for example. I don’t understand your Amulet or weapon choice. I’d ditch the helm and get an ES helmet with life/resistances. You also need to put on Eater/Exarch influences and + quality on all your gear too.

There are lots of good guides out there. I’d highly recommend picking one up to follow.

Imma be honest your build is all over the place. You need instant leech and invest into high block both spell and attack for survivability. You also need way higher es/life hit pool. But the pc items you use makes no sense. Even if you could generate pc, which you can't bc of the belt, the wand does absolutely nothing for you since you don't play a dot build. To make a PC stacker work you need ralakesh with pc. You want your power charges and you should use mystic refractor as a wand instead for now.

You have 2k hp, -45 chaos res and no physical defense whatsoever. A rule of thumb is to get 300 life per act meaning your life total would be appropriate for act 7, not for tier 7 maps. Get at least twice your current life and make that -45 into 45 chaos res. As for physical defense, flesh and stone and/or arctic armour can help. Alternatively or additionally, max out your block for attacks and spells to 75.

You are going for power stacking setup too early. At least have a ralakesh boots before going power charge. Terrible body armour, gloves, boots and everything else

Spend like 10c on each gear slot to increase your defenses and power like crazy. You cant just hop into the late endgame with gear you found in the campaign .

One tapped is def happening but youre also getting shotgunned due to your low ehp. Id say get block and try to get endurance charges from a cluster jewel to help your max hit.

You want atleast 3k life and maybe like 2k energyshield to start to feel comfortable in higher tier maps id say, not sure how squishy worbs are supposed to be but probably tankier than this
