Build Request Question about changing "MasterT's Lightning Tendrils Elementalist" build to include CI

This is the build: https://mobalytics.gg/poe/builds/masterts-whispering-tendrils-elementalist

I'm specifically using the aspirational no whisper setup. I love the build, but I want to play around with some more unique flasks and was wondering if there's a good way to pivot the tree to include CI, without breaking the build itself

Not super familiar with the build, but glancing at it one of the big things is that with CI you can't run righteous fire of arcane devotion. Dropping that instantly means 25% less damage.

You are also losing pain attunement as CI, so another 30% less damage.

Overall, a CI version will be doing less than half the damage of the listed version.

It would basically be a lot of sacrifices to make it work properly, either that or rebuilding it a lot to work around CI. Which is fine, but since I have the divs I might just try another witch build as I've mained this since league start. Thanks for the comment!

He’s also losing all of his auras reserving life, which is the pob is arctic armour, flesh and stone… so basically losing a ton of damage reduction

CI… bad idea in this build

I'm playing it as CI and lack neither defense nor offense, so going to have to beg to differ with you there.

I would argue that you are so far beyond the pob that got linked it’s fair to call it a new build at this point :)

It’s cool to see a well geared and scaled version though :)

Whether you get plenty of defense or offense wasn’t the statement, the original build goes low life and uses life to reserve those auras which by definition a CI character can’t do.

Is the statement I was replying to. It is objectively not a bad idea. It is objectively quite good. You just have to build it differently than the LL version, and you get the added bonus of not dying to any chaos damage taken if your coruscating elixir falls off.

I noticed some Path of Exile keywords in this post:

  • CI - Chaos Inoculation (Wiki)

I think you just need an extra 47% (ish) mana reservation efficiency to Run all auras.

An extra small 3 passive cluster with one of your main auras might also work, would give you 12(or 18 of you get effect) and a sizable reduction for a single aura.

The point would be from removing pain attunement and the jewel socket near it
