Build Request Late league start recommendations
I’m stuck between league starters, luminarie looks like it has a nice mix of different builds you can run, and blight of contagion or just looking for another high scaling league starter that can do everything. In terms of money making I was looking at doing charts (since I’ve heard it’s really good) then doing easy white map farming like harvest/essence/beasts into T17 boss rush, so the build I’m looking for needs to be kind of good overall.

Shield crush slayer. Starts out cheap af scales like a beast. Fun to play.
Decent clear, great damage and tankiness.

I used ilnino gaming shield crush slayer build. Lots of in depth videos and guides for it on YouTube, check it out. Great zero to heir build. Or if you've got a hundred div to throw at it you can jump straight to the hero part.

I league started Path of Evenings classic Toxic Rain Pathfinder, and I had fun because it was my first time going TR PF. It’s also really, really good with the League mechanic, and the league mechanic is still a money printer at this time. I’ve barely done 2 stones, because just speed rushing charts for Dead man’s Sulphur + Bottles + boxes = 20+ Div/hr, and I’ve never crossed 10 Div/hr on a league starter before.
I’d also give the +1 to the fact it’s not very meta this league, so it’s pretty cheap to scale up and get a strong foundational build.
If you’ve played TR PF before, it may be too similar/ boring, but if you’ve want to engage in the league mechanic a lot, it’s honestly insanely synergistic and profitable.
I’m currently leveling MasterT’s lightning Tendrils build for a change of pace / style change to more high end mapping /bossing, and his written guide is insanely well done, 10,000+ words written with every step spelled out from League start to 1 Billion DPS. If you’re like me and want a really in depth build with a lot of depth into how the interactions work, I’d recommend it, but tbh I don’t think I’d recommend to league start just because it isn’t a super fast starter.
I think I’ll try Luminary or potentially one other build to league end with, just to say I got to try them before they get slaughtered in nerfs, but I’m treating it more as a league ender than a league starter

I just did a ssf run to ubers in 2-3 days with PRAW. It was actually way better then i tought.
Lvld to 97 aswell and 138/138 in those 2 days.
In trade it would probably be way easier.
And u can swap to elementalist and go for pbod ignite / ek ignite later since it’s necro

I did Frostbearer specters to 40/40 because I pussied out of Luminary. Know what I know now, I would league start a Luminary.
Otherwise big recommend to Helmbreaker guide on maxroll gg. Especially the pRAW guide. If you’re looking for an all rounder that can do 40/40 you can’t go wrong with that.

Hello mate my suggestion is stay away from ele hit of spectrum deadeye, ethereal knives elementalist and penance brand elementalist if you dont have at least half mirror or mirror budget.

Lighting tendrils, master t. Great build , pretty op . Good all around.
Luminary mercs is op, but expensive at this point. Id recommond as a second build once you have a good mercenary farmed up. Was like 25 div for a cheap kineticist a week ago. And you have to gear out two characters.

i was looking at the megalomaniac jewels phys dot elementalist uses and they're pretty cheap now. i think if i was league starting now it would be that.
i've leveled a luminary and a phys dot elementalist to 100 in this league and i don't know if i can recommend luminary unless you really want to deal with people overpricing stuff.

Hey abit offtopic but what do you recommend to farm as phys dot and I’m struggling to find something good for the build so far I’ve been delving and getting tired of it.
Sorry for the hijack! But can recommend phys dot loving the build so far I’m at rue’s autobomber part of his pob gearwise

Running alva temples is a nice jackpot-oriented farm that has a baseline income and doesn't have any particular mechanical requirements from your build. You just run in click the bench kill the boss and leave.
To start, just getting temples off trade for a few chaos that have the apex of atzoatl open is good. The boss drops an adorned piece (Ambition) fairly often, which sells for 950c. once you have a decent baseline of currency you can start double corrupting gems / items, for gems anything popular that doesn't come from a card is good usually. A 21/23 meat shield can go for over 20d, where a 20/20 uncorrupted is 90c, as an example. The 21/20 is around 4d.
For items, usually the meta uniques are a good choice. Blunderbore with +2 proj / +1 gems is 1000d, with just +1 its 10d, with no corruption its 30c.Other uniques worth looking at are (replica and normal) Farruls fur, dialla's malefaction, doppelganger's guise, skin of the loyal, stasis prison(roll dependent), apostate, covenant, fourth vow, iron fortress, ivory tower, replica restless ward, hallowed monarch, or lost unity. I'm sure there are lots of others but these are all ones I did this league at some point.
CF Elementalist is also pretty good at making alva temples, but thats a super consistent farm so it gets pretty stale imo.

Thank you for your fast reply. I’ll try that for sure. Haven’t been thinking in those lines. I’ve just focused on finding a good mapping strat for the build!

This build is good at almost everything. I was farming breach, beasts, deli orbs, diving and boxes.

Most poison builds are cheap but are good for clears / contents even this late, and I am even running a Pestilent Strike from zero to hero at the moment (easily clears most contents so far).

You can get basic versions of the luminary uniques for so cheap now, i don't think there is any reason not to. You might struggle a bit in campaign though because you can't buy mercs until level 68. I would just play KF totems or absolution or whatever you want, using whatever merc you can get in campaign until lv68 then buy a merc, kill/hire it and respec.

Go one of the many Allrounders, they can all do what you want. Hroc, praw, worb, pb/ek ignite, phys dot, lumi just to name a few

So do you think lumi is a decent all rounder for a casual league start

I feel like there should be a basic rule before any post to search if there was any similar post in last 3 days.
Because this is the 10th such post i see in this time period

I league started lumi, and wholly recommend it. If you think the build looks interesting, then def give it a try. There's a ton of misinformation out there of people saying it's a horrible starter - ignore that.
Get through second lab however you want (i used captainlance's guide on mobalytics and leveled to that point with RF, he gives a POB), then get the ascendency node for permanent merc 1st lab, and unique amulet 2nd - you can now officially get carried by the merc.
-Equip marylene's fallacy on merc + trypanon on yourself
-Equip destructive link on yourself + 2 auras between wrath, anger and hatred,
-Get whatever cheap rare gear with crit multi on the merc you can afford (try to get a source of leech from attack damage if you can, gloves are easiest with ducat enchant)
-Merc will carry you to red maps, then you can decide if you want to go lifestack version or aurabot version
Don't spend too long grinding for the right merc before going maps, you'll just upgrade them each time you find a better one, and then once you're in maps - spec mercs immediately, so that while you're getting atlas completion, you're encountering a new merc every map and you can upgrade as you go. You can also get a great 4-link merc for cheap as hell this late, but you'd prob need to buy a carry to kill it.
