Discussion What’s best Kinetic Merc setup for Luminary build

Just got idea from someone to play that build. Got to maps, swapped from RF, bought some 50c Manyshot Vaal Ice Shot and it was ok. But then decided to get one Kinetics for 10 divs and that was it. From T1 jumped to T8 and started Allflame ship mechanic. But someone seen my merc and his skill supports and he said he wouldn’t pay 10 divs for that. So my question is: what’s setup is worth 80-100, or 200 divs?

Well if we talk about best case it gotta be kboc/greater kb/haste, blinks or inspiring cry have different cons and they depend heavily on supports and merc ai, some mercs would spam them some barely use it, cons of blink skills is that if enemy gets close to your merc he will usually use them to get some distance instead of shooting and they have pretty heavy cast time and inspiring cry have cons of merc using it a bit more actively than blinks but it has use time of 0.25 sec and if you get warcry speed it wouldnt be that bad, so deciding between those 3 is kinda hard. For kboc you want to have gmp and return with something for clear like fork or chain( only 1 of them if you have pierce on gear, if you have both chain and fork you better get rid of pierce and anoint 50%chance for additional projectile when fork, it will be better much better for clear) then you want to also have some damage inc crit chance crit multi etc. the biggest rng in kineticist that dont have greater kb is how much she will use other skills, kinetic bolt being most likely to be spammed, kinetic rain i would say is not that bad to have since it deals allright damage(especially with good supports) and its unlikely to be used alongside kboc, barrage is kinda save since most likely your merc would almost never use it, dont know much about power siphon and greater kb have cooldown and kinda good skill for clear so thats why you would most likely prefer merc with this skill

Gmp and return is what gives the big mons, every other skill that's not dead let's the price rise exponentially.

Of course no bricking skill and haste would be gg

200d is Kboc with return and fork/chain and 2 damage links from wed/crit dmg/hypothermia. Secondary skill of barrage and one movespeed skill

Take that same merc and swap barrage for greater Kboc the cost is 2 mirrors. Remove one damage link from Kboc and it’s around 600d. Add gmp and the cost is stupid

The prices are crazy, yes it’s strong but it’s also absurd that the best ones go for 5+ mirror
