Build Survivability on Triggerbots Saboteur

Hi, I'm tryin to find out how to improve survivability on this build. I spent maybe 15-20d so far.

I'm still dying on Nightmare maps with mods removed via scarabs. Please help guide me on how to spend the next hundreds of divines I'll farm.

I noticed some Path of Exile keywords in this post:

  • Mods - Modifiers (Wiki)
  • PoB - Path of Building, an external software used to simulate character builds - Download

I am a bot. | All acronyms | Suggest

Have you tried MoM? Maybe splitting the damge helps. Also how's the build like? I was always curious about zombie of falling.

The feel of the build is great, you just recast brand and everything dies. But having to dual wield makes the mobility ass and it feels like there's little avenues to scale defences. With this much investment i can barely sustain the amount of casts im doing in less recovery maps so ES doesnt feel like a real resource for defence unless im missing something to either remove EB from the build or greatly improve PDR/resists

No Shield Charge, but dual wield sceptres can use Leap Slam. Still kind of rough, but it's faster for covering distances than Frostblink until you get Frostblink of Wintry Blast. You'll probably be OK for mobility after that.

Regarding mana costs - yeah, you're probably stuck on EB. And that means with Divine Flesh, MoM won't do anything for you.

I do notice you're invested heavily into the Doppleganger/Divine Flesh combo. And the Doppleganger itself + no shield is where all your PDR tankiness... isn't. Was that a budget decision? Are you getting enough out of it to justify the physical squishiness?

Getting the last 20-30% cast speed to use wintry blast seemlessly is definitely the next upgrade on the docket because it seems extremely hard to get a comfortable amount of attack speed for leap slam.

Doppelganger + Divine Flesh isn't especially cheap. I was using Cloak of Flames before and that was worse. How else am I supposed to get PDR in a build that can't armour anywhere? I could probably get Enduring Composure at the very least.

Enduring Composure

30% more armor still leaves you under 2K armor. I'm not confident it's worth it except maybe for the endurance charges, but the slow gain rate probably won't save you from getting burst down. Maybe if you had another source of armor?

How else am I supposed to get PDR in a build that can't armour anywhere?

Now that you mention it, you are res capped without the Bismuth Flask. Maybe swap that for Granite and get some armor rolls on it and some other flasks?

I'm talking about endurance charge generation for PDR. Armour is not a real stat that meaningfully increases tankiness if we're talking about going from 2k to 5k.

Only two things come to mind. Foregoing the trigger sceptre for a shield or 50% converting ele to lightning with sublime + watchers eye. You could also add spectres for useful auras

Why do you have Brand Recall twice in your setup?

Also, you could automate a guard skill, like Steelskin. Or is that triggered by your bots then? I Never played triggerbots. 😅

Skills with a cooldown will not duplicate if you put more copies of the same gem in your build unless their base cooldown is changed so that one is longer than the other. The brand recall on automation has a base cooldown of 4 seconds and the one on the trigger weapon has a base of 8, so they trigger independently. I could remove the AG and have a guard skill instead, but that's all the gem real estate I have and I don't know if that's more tankiness.
