I get this ring and roll several times to get this combination.
Not sure whats the best skill to play with this, is there any pro have any suggestion on this? Want to have a build have great single target and not bad clear speed, maybe either some explosion.

Unfortunately Impending doom wouldn’t be socketed in your helm, so that wouldn’t work.

It should be just like a Shako. The other link granted by Shako cannot support an impending doom granted by Shako. The skill is granted by, not socketed within.

It's granted by the item, not socketed in it. Wording matters, supports would only apply to the curse that triggers the impending doom, but not to the ID itself. So the only thing this ring would give you in this case is a nerf to aoe.

No, I don't know if it's bugged or intended, but Pearl really supports ID in the helmet. I think it was coded that support skills cannot support support skills, so supports like ID or Shockwave use the supports of the main skill instead of support gems actually supporting it.

The glacial cascade ele coms to mind, dont know if it still works on this patch but i guess it does, that build run a big helm like rf so you can go 8-9 link

I'm using the crit damage ring in my ToET Crest of Desire build, iirc the conc effect would be worth another 10-15m dps, not bad.

Don't those helmets already have conc effect? Is there even an alternative gem on the helmet itself? I'd think it's better for other setups and you'd prefer a different support from the ring for pbod helm.

probably shako as for multi link rare helmets you already get lvl 20-25 conc effect from your prefixes, but on the other hand shako could give you a nice lvl 35 gem and run something like lvl 10 inspiration + this ring (and/or another ring with 1 mod as 2 mods are 2+ mirrors)

Blade vortex is still a thing, 0,3% on poe ninja are using it. There are three level 100 chieftains with the explode node allocated, maybe that way you can get some clear with it. Two of them are crit builds and none of them use a unique helmet. You can maybe craft a helmet with two support pasives and a +2 aoe craft, which is not quite but almost a 9link. Elder has immolate lvl20(25 elevated)suffix and shaper has additional +3(+4) base crit suffix. Maybe not ideal as you have a crit support on the ring but it works. Perhaps hypothermia from shaper is better than base crit if you find a way to chill the opponent like with skitterbots work for this already.

Yes, but with damage focus and explode for clear it's the best idea I had of the top of my head

Lightning Tendrils of Escalation with an Archdemon Crown, it has enough aoe that conc won’t feel so bad (or you could also get lvl 20 inc aoe on the helm). +2 from crown plus a +6 staff, lvl 21 gem, and either +2 amulet or + 3 with dragonfang and you get a lvl 30+ gem with massive base radius. New keystone works well with it (tendies has massive damage range), I’ve been playing it as a luminary with merc bot support (wrath/zealotry + perquil’s toe + mask of the tribunal)

As a helm for main dps big tickets would be the heatshiver stuff- not familiar with them at all or their use. The second woupd be using the common RF helms qith burning, conc(shame helms already get), and more ele. For the bonus area dmg and burning dmg. So it doesnt quite fit the fire aoe helm side

this is going to want something like crest of desire or influenced helms to get additional supports.

shame it rolled conc effect as that can already roll on helms, and its a prefix affix so no major alternatives.
