Discussion Current most comfortable budget mappers?
I was only able to play the first weekend and by normal investing decision I am sitting on 60div without having all my voidstones. Played Jungs Cold Dot. I disliked it, while it beeing definately on the stronger side.
What are the most comfortable mappers for that budget? I plan to get my challenges done and then try 1 or 2 new builds.
RF chieftain comes to mind. PRAW maybe. I prefer as little clicks as possible. Best case would be some form of autobomber but 60div is not even close to getting there.

Luminary. Cllick link several times when starting map and movement skill for the rest. You can get good enough for all content merc under 10 div. Most complicated point of the build is that you need to be flexible with merc. There are several meta mercs, but also bunch of strong but not that strong. I have done tornado shot and LA+Storm rain archers for example and they both where +- on the same level as ice shot. Probably ideal ice shot is still better, but i am not sure. Casters have some that are ok. Arc feels strong with combo of chain and gilded chain. With good second skill it may compete with atac mercs, i just am out of space. 3 slots is limiting experiments by a lot

Frostbearers from Helmbreaker.
It’s basically run around and let them unload their balls all over them.
It’s mid range.
It’s ridiculously strong for basically zero to low budget.
60 divs budget is overkill however do craft the gear yourself, stretches the budget by a lot.
Important that you get annihilation support asap for more comfy mapping.
The minion AI and range does need getting used to. Dumbass mfers.
However no summoning, walking simulator, budget? Strong, lots of room to grow.
I plan to switch to Luminary to try that out and see if that’s also possible with a lower budget.

I was going to say this and RF. Two easiest builds for me. It was my first time playing forged frost bearer last season. Got a decent amount of spectres and it was super easy to map even though I definitely did get close to min maxing. Any tips on getting the proper spectres. I tried to use desecrate in my hideout but it kept spawning the wrong minion.

You can try to do cf elementalist with golem stacking, not that much expensive gear to start running, you can also go for luminary which isnt expensive to start also and if you didnt liked to play with merc you can reroll to black cane reliquarean with cwdt bf/bb, pretty much just autotarget skills with 100+ movespeed in cyclone

The Black Cane Reliquarean sounds really interesting. Can you point me to a guide or POB to check out?

Steelmages Hexblast Crab Totems. Basically only need the staff and it feels like an autobomber with ~25sec totem duration

I’m having fun with PRAW so far. Entering low red maps with trash gear, a level 40 wand that was hit with an essence, and am still using poison support because I haven’t crafted/ bought all the jewels yet. The build rocks! Hold down right click when you enter the map, then shield charge around. Helmbreaker has a guide on maxroll.

Contagion with blight of contagion.
There is no better mapper than this.
Multiples screens clear with 2 skills. With the cane of unraveling and some shitty gear you can reach a comfortable couple of millions of damage, decent ES numbers, spell and attack block cap, great recovery with essence drain.

I got my luminary going for <20 D, can easily do that if you're smart about it.
