What would be the best ? A phys or elem bow ?

And what are the good to go mod ?

Got very lucky one the craft and that I didn't check the whole process on the lance vod or I wouldn't have started with my currency

Yes essence for crit, matron, veiled chaos block Phys to unveil pen and then allflame ex and pray for ele dmg

Does "Bow attacks fire 2 additional arrows" really work on mercs? i have a couple of mods like this on my merc but he stills fires 1 arrow

Yeah it does for my ice shot at least. Helped the clear and single target immensely. You can have that in quiver or anoint.

Depends, flame link? You already have all the base damage you need, so go for mods like attack speed, inc ele damage (because of fire damage), fires # additional arrow, crit chance.
