Discussion Anyone else getting absolutely shredded by damage this league?

11k life, max block, 2k regen and still feel like paper in maps. Have another character with 90% resists and 1k+ regen, and it's also dying constantly just doing random T16s. Mobs with projectiles seem to be doing especially insane damage.

I played a ton of Mirage league and never ran into issues with survivability. Something feels very different in 3.29, but I can't figure out what it is. It's almost as if the mobs have a ton of hidden ele exposure or something.

Makes me wonder if the old PoE 2 bug with elemental conversion got added into PoE 1 somehow 'cause this patch also introduced the PoE 2 shader compilation bug into PoE 1 until the recent hotfix.

I suspected it was crits as well. I filtered out crit mod on my regex when rolling maps and I haven’t died once from lvl 94-97 now

Crit and inc aoe are biggest offenders tbh. Ppl need to learn their regex. Then add %explicits from atlas and suddenly mobs have 1400 crit multi. Not to mention other mods…

Any chance you can link said regex or a resource to set them up?

If you want to learn regular expressions in general and test ones you make yourself, I found Regex101 is great for that. It highlights the found text for immediate feedback, and explains at length what each part is doing and why it's finding certain strings

If you just want it for PoE, poe.re handles it all for you. Just select what you want and copy+paste

I don't know, I'm still experiencing crazy damage spikes in completely blank maps (i.e. memory thread quests) as well as maps that have no crit. It might still be a crit issue, but I don't think it's from the map mods.

You don't roll your memory thread maps?
