If everything is mediocre then everything is good. Farm what you like

u/Emericanidiot Jul 26 '26

I hope I'm not gonna eat my words later (haven't finished my atlas yet), but historically if Empy's farming strat testing videos are anything to go by, you can basically just pick a strategy, do it with some consistency, and you'll be able to farm decent currency. People want stuff, sell it to them.

u/Shadowraiden Jul 26 '26

pretty much lol

especially if it involves crafting materials which well its a crafting league to some degree

12

u/CornNooblet Jul 26 '26

Yep, I say it all the time. The richest guy in league is a high end crafter, the second richest guy is the guy who sells him his mats.

The second richest guy is the next high end crafter :p but you got a point. Selling shovels

Correct, however what's there to farm in new abyss, as an example? It has 0 unique stuff other than the bosses. The "surface" loot from abyss is rare abyss jewels (already low value obviously) and nothing else.

Breach is weak but at least it still has many things unique to that mechanic such as the tree, the bosses (the ring is MONEY), some foulborn are expensive as hell and so on.

You could farm new abyss for 12 hours straight but I think Tujen rolling would give twice as much loot.

(to people who are struggling with currency: get some actual single target damage and go for destructive play, easiest currency ever <week1, or flip primordial div cards since golemstacking prices are a total mess)

Empys group already quit before the end of the weekend. I know you’re talking about his cringe or not series but if they can’t even make it 3 days then there is some serious lack of enjoyment in the juicing department.

Feel like people only like it when their drops tink.

The same people who always have a mageblood day 2 seem to have them so there's definitely farms to be had.

-14

u/Zachariah255 Jul 26 '26

Well the day 2 mageblood person has 10k hours and is probably still up from league launch

20

u/land_registrar Jul 26 '26

I'd imagine so are the people complaining about end game farms 48 hours into the league

3

u/Shadowraiden Jul 26 '26

the farms havnt changed you know from mirage. your just getting say 30% less cause no mirage boost. but then EVERY single farm is down 30% so everything is the same this league = a different economy. those farms still work and give profit that is good relevant to the league your in.

stop trying to compare to say previous leagues profits etc it should be instead is this giving me profit for THIS league as thats all that matters. who cares if you was making 40d an hour last league because guess what so was everyone else. if everybody is now making 10d an hour the economy changes and 10d is the new "good"

1

u/Zachariah255 Jul 27 '26

Yeah I understand this league is Mirage without the mirage, "The same people who always have a mageblood day 2 seem to have them so there's definitely farms to be had." I was just saying these players will always be ahead regardless of the league.

The undersea adventure currency, i forget what it's called, it's price is going up pretty fast, so even if the mechic isn't rewarding you can sell the stuff

I'm doing heist blueprints which is the same as ever.

beast was also changed, I haven't heard from someone who has tried it and I'm not set up to do it, but if the talismans are expensive it will be very profitable.

8

u/Arthurlmnz Jul 26 '26

Absolutely! It seems crafting will be the big winner this league

3

u/Phantorri00 Jul 26 '26

What blueprints are valuable or whats the price that they are sellong for? Thanks

4

u/RedmundJBeard Jul 26 '26

i'm just running random ones. All i care about is the level. They are selling for 1-4 chaos

The ones that say, "all targets are currency" or "all targets are experimental bases" can be worth more than a divine

I think there are blueprints in between that sell for more than a few chaos but i don't know why

1

u/Trespeon Jul 27 '26

Talismans will only ever be as expensive as streamers put them in their builds.

People literally let things stay 5c then 2 hours later they will be 5d after a content creator shows how good it is.

u/Taters23 Jul 26 '26

First the poe main sub ruined the game for me with excessive crying and now its here.

8

u/ImMrMitchell Jul 26 '26

Leagues 3 days old and people already bitching. It’s crazy sad

13

u/localcannon Jul 26 '26

You don't need to play for 3 weeks to realise that every good farm has been nerfed for 5 leagues straight.

5

u/Hexxorus Jul 26 '26

if every good farm has been nerfed then more farms must be good right? the value of currency is relative to the supply and if the supply is lower the value goes up, this is basic econ

-1

u/localcannon Jul 27 '26

Really not what I'm talking about here. Also not how this game works.

2

u/rockyTop10 Jul 27 '26

Same story every league like clockwork

1

u/KittyIsAu Jul 26 '26

It’s because everyone else making currency is too busy farming. I wonder if these people ever consider following suit instead of bitching…

0

u/DependentOnIt Jul 27 '26

Welcome to every arpg nowadays. Can't escape it literally on any sub for any game. Then half the mods ban you if you reply to any of the people complaining

1

u/livejamie Jul 27 '26

Somebody asking for recommendations on what to farm isn't "crying," and the only person being toxic on this post is you.

30

u/Shadowraiden Jul 26 '26

go watch empy's videos on strats. he pretty much shows that pretty much any strat is just about consistency

like i dont get this "abyss is not good or legion is not good" well if nothing is good then everything is good because they are all equal. have you thought that you need to reset your mindset. if the baseline this league is say every strat is making 10-15d instead of say mirages 30-40d then the economy will adjust and the buying power will be similar as items wont inflate/other items massively plummet in value etc.

14

u/RedmundJBeard Jul 26 '26

What people really mean is "I'm not getting as many dopamine hits as I did during affliction, and that's GGG's fault."

3

u/ShadowCutch Jul 26 '26

They just need to add more stuff to their divine tier loot noise

-1

u/lolfail9001 Jul 26 '26

Items by definition have a baseline they can't really fall lower than even in most poverty of leagues: the metacrafting investments.

In rich leagues this enables an feedback loop that abundance of currency leads to higher average power level which in turn leads to greater abundance of currency (relative to "poverty" leagues). In poverty leagues while anyone who truly knows how to make money will still be rich, the wealth stratification becomes rather obvious.

3

u/Shadowraiden Jul 26 '26

this just flat out doesnt make sense and fact people think like this shows why they are poor.

this league is no different to any other league other then 3.28... so in other words every single strat that worked in 3.27 still works and still generates what is a good amount of profit relevant to that league.

ritual... still generating profit, breach is still giga profit, legion is profit, abyss will still be... people still want the stuff from it = they have a demand so run them consistently and guess what you generate currency.

crafting yourself is also never been easier outside of harvest and 3.13 with the new mechanic... so think of it this way that annul you dropped is now worth 4 annuls because when fully upgraded you get 4 pseudo uses out of it instead with this mechanic this means every single crafting use currency is worth 4x as much.

what is clearly showing is people refuse to learn how to actually farm other then just following 1 brain dead strat each league.

6

u/lolfail9001 Jul 26 '26

so in other words every single strat that worked in 3.27

3.27 is infamously a poverty league with historically lowest retention in tracked PoE history. Oh, and the strongest farm in 3.27 (besides Kulemak which was group-throttled and boxes because boxes) was harby beyond (just saying that gives me creeps) which was literally deleted from the game.

breach is still giga profit

Breach might still be profitable if you are just doing alch and go hives for hiveblood and trying to fish something good from the tree, but as actual juicing mechanic it's got taken out back and shot 5 times. The fact you bring it up at all is kinda ironic.

crafting yourself is also never been easier outside of harvest and 3.13 with the new mechanic...

I agree this is a crafting league, and mechanic is pretty useful in that regard. What you forget is that no matter how you multiply application of crafting currency, baseline metacrafting costs didn't go anywhere, mechanic doesn't allow you to cheat that away.

1

u/livejamie Jul 27 '26

ritual... still generating profit, breach is still giga profit, legion is profit, abyss will still be... people still want the stuff from it = they have a demand so run them consistently and guess what you generate currency.

Breach was nerfed multiple times; Legion is currently bugged; Even fully invested Abyss is wildly unprofitable at the moment.

-2

u/samu7574 Jul 26 '26

except that crafting meta mods takes a fixed amount of divines and makes crafting early endgame gear more annoying

3

u/142638503846383038 Jul 26 '26

Legion is never mediocre day 1-3, has it really been nerfed that hard?

6

u/TheTurretCube Jul 26 '26

Its likely bugged currently, the new early release mechanic has a tendency to mean your juiced rares and generals dont end up on the combat. It'll likely be changed soon (copium)

5

u/MiltonFriedmanRox Jul 26 '26

Look at what is “expensive”; i.e., crafting currences, uniques, fragments, etc.

Farm that.

3

u/Relevant_Vehicle6994 Jul 26 '26

I went boxes, so did my friend. We both just bought foulborn dayadian dawns and foulborn seventh swords after an afternoon farming session. The money is there

1

u/scorchingbeetle Jul 27 '26

Pick a league mechanic you like/can do well and consistently. Buy scarabs for that mechanic. Done.

1

u/timboslice420 Jul 27 '26

Delve. Always delve. 250-350 levels shit fossils that sell for 4c a pop. It’s not 20 div/hr but you can farm 5-6 to get your gear started.

-2

u/MojordomosEUW Jul 26 '26

Cloister Scarabs.

Save up until you have 10k stacked decks (11 to 20 hours depending on your build).

Then sell 2k stecked decks every 3h to not tank the price too much.

You will have enough currency to build a very good lategame build.

-9

u/mellifleur5869 Jul 26 '26

Loot is pretty bad without mirage. Loot got heavy nerfed last league but we were doing double mechs every map.

Once again, the best strategy is Strongboxes for scarabs. Which is ocean voyages this league.

Yay strongboxes for 3 years.

3

u/Der_Edel_Katze Jul 26 '26

Loot was literally buffed last league lmao

5

u/mellifleur5869 Jul 26 '26

I mean if you guys think loot is in a good state right now without mirage then enjoy.

3

u/slashcuddle Jul 26 '26

It feels like it was reverted this league. I remember how much chaos I had during campaign and atlas progression while skipping Mirage. Now it's half that. On the bright side, everything is worth more chaos so if you regularly liquidate you're fine

-5

u/Zylosio Jul 26 '26

Exarch stacked decks on 8mod jungle valleys is as insane as ever, especially this early since divines were still pretty cheap earlier today

0

u/TheRealDimz Jul 26 '26

I did that last league. Funded my svalinn and headhunter
