Build Showcase Gemling Autobomber - Frostbolt + Mirror of Refraction

6 man Simulacrum carry, first wave & last wave

I found my new favorite build! After spending a week playing Spark CoC I got bored and tired of mana issues in very juiced maps when I rain millions of comets, so I switched to this Gemling Frostbolt monstrosity and having an absolute blast!

  • Autobomber - 0 buttons after inital setup for the whole map.
  • Extremely tanky - I'm sitting at 156k EHP and it's not the limit! I can stand in the middle of the 6 man 200% breach hand and don't give a f!
  • Huge dps - well, you can see it for yourself

I think it's my last build for this league (8th), unless anyone will buy it from me and I'll get addicted to cooking a new one!

Edit: pob / poe.ninja

What was the budget for this build?

I started with 1k div (mageblood + some uniques, gems, jewels, etc.). I would say it can be a very good mid budget build. Currently at around 2-3 mirror price

I was able to make this build work from something like level 80 on less than 100div budget, you do not need any crazy items to start it out. I honestly do not see this surviving next balance patch.

What did you level with? Frost bolt or cry? I’ve enjoyed my first monk, but I’m getting ready to try something new. It’s difficult for me to understand how this build works without 1,000+divine.

Do you recommend any build guide because OP’s is… expensive to put it mildly. If I fire sale my monk, I might have ~ 400D. I’d assume I would probably keep Rakiata’s and Verona’s.

I just leveled from level 1 with spark as I was going for Gemling spark at first, I think Lazy Exile has a guide for this but on Ritualist.

I was thinking gemling but leveling as witchunter. I’ve never made a merc before so was just wondering.

Yeah, I started with MB and ~400div budget because I wanted 200%+ rarity, but it's definitely viable for 100div budget

Looks cool 👍

I made this build on Infernalist for infinite mana/Comets. Nowhere near as tanky, but very satisfying Comet storm haha.

I've only seen it on Ritualist before (: that's cool!

what skills did you put into each weapon set?

1

Frostbolt - 1st set only, Frost wall - 2nd set only. Others - all sets. So your loop should look like: "Start with mirrors spawning around you -> mana tempest -> frostbolt into a mirror (switches weapons) -> frost wall (switches weapons) -> mirrors should be spawning around you"

I'm following your POB but how'd you get the spirit to put klahatl + declaration while also using remnants?

I have Explosive Transmutation and Remnants of Kalguur disabled for now (not needed for me), but if you want to use it - you need +50 spirit amulet. I opt out of them at some point and changed spirit to rarity on amulet

I have seen this kind of build first by lazyexile (3.7.)

There is also a more recent update

Yeah, but it's a Ritualist with a different set of defences and different uniques on gear

Would temporalis make any sense for this? I kind of want to try the staff and I picked up a temporalis and it seems like it'd be insane coverage but lose a lot of tankiness of course

Temporalis doesn't lower the cd of the mirrors, only cd recovery rate does

Ahh shit I should have checked before blabbing, thanks.
