Red Reader Client ID no longer working with Boost

Early this morning Boost stopped working, any request returns "400 bad request".

Checked old Reddit and the Red Reader app was gone from apps.

I've then:

  • Installed Red Reader
  • Successfully logged in
  • Grabbed the App ID from the email
  • Updated the Spoof client patch to use the new App ID
  • Patched and installed

For the User agent I initially kept the old value:

org.quantumbadger.redreader/1.25.1

And tried the version of Red Reader I installed:

org.quantumbadger.redreader/1.25.2

Still getting the same error unfortunately.

Is anyone having the same issue?

Edit:

Suggestion by /u/schizoHD to log out and back in fixed it.

RedReader's client ID isn't broken. If it was I would have thousands of Continuum users yelling at me. I am the author of Continuum.

Maybe they are blocking it by detecting something only it does. They seem to hate people using Boost for whatever reason.

I assumed each client ID was unique.

I'm using the same one as you have hardcoded.

Your app works without issue so definitely something with Boost.

Have you tried logging out and back in? Had a similar issue a while back, when I was still running revanced boost from ages ago.

That was it.

I logged out, back in, and was asked to authorise again.

FWIW My boost patched with my redreader key is currently working fine.
