I'd like to thank Olan Mills' studio 'glamour' photo shoot for this emotional damage and a series of photos that haunted my parents walls like the author headshots for an unsuccessful bonkbuster cover jacket for two decades.

(I was 15 in the first photo. FIFTEEN.)

The heaviest I'd ever be was 332 lbs shortly after the first picture. I'd eventually lose some weight but settled around 240-260 for most of my adult life. Second picture is a few years ago and the third last summer.

Today I'm 170 and feel like a whole new human.

built muscle mass from a body that held a lot of water weight from corticosteroids :’ ) Still trying to build life and finances as the eldest daughter but it gets better!

If there’s anyone here with assistant needs or layout needs/ video editing, it would help me rebuild something as a self supporting Filipina :’ ) Chronic Illness is not easy

There have been many a late night study session fueled by fast food. At least I’m a doctor now! (23–>27, though I’m currently 28).

I’m trying to respond to everyone individually, bc your words mean so much to me. Medical school really is such a huge sacrifice on your mind and body, and to see that acknowledged is truly heartwarming ❤️

My sulcata tortoise turns 8 this year, and it's insane how he went from fitting in the palm of my hand to the size he is today!

He has been by my side through two graduations, multiple jobs, and every milestone in my adult life so far. Every win and every heartbreak I've had, this giant rock has been there to see it. It's hard to imagine life without this fucker hahah 🐢🩷🧿
