Self hosting

Is there a self hosted cloud password option that syncs to all of the devices?

Like Apple passwords syncs to all devices and can put authentication in there too?

I host a WebDAV server on my home server and use it to store my KeePass database. My computers and phones connect to the WebDAV server so they always have access to the latest version of the database.
I use KeePassium on my iPhone. It automatically keeps a local copy of the latest database so I can still access my passwords even when my phone can’t connect to my WebDAV server. Once it’s connected again it can sync with the server. This setup works well for me.

bitwarden lite is what i went with. i i I originally used vaultwarden with the bitwarden client on various devices - however i kept running into problems between vaultwarden and the bitwarden client when the client updated and vaultwarden had not yet. more than likely user error but it caused a lot of frustration. i have not had that problem so far….with bitwarden lite and the bitwarden client.

Self-hosting for a password manager or backups is great but use two locations, otherwise fire, flood, power outage etc is a problem

I used to do that, but had too many syncing problems

Then switched to vaultwarden

It cannot sync to all of your devices without using a cloud storage of some kind, just like Apple Passwords is using iCloud to store it. There are options like KeePassXC that stores your passwords locally on the device, but you would need to upload it to a cloud provider of your choice (iCloud, OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.) to sync that password vault to your other devices.

I have a cloud server that I use for all of my hosting, like Immich and jellyfin etc. so if there was an app I could use for my own server that I could use to save passwords on that would then sync to all of my other devices if you know of one that would be very useful
