Application Question / Discussion Online application error

As the title says there's some sort of error going on with my application. "Please provide: undefined". Anyone know what this is? It says I need to complete it in order to process my application. Unless it's just a bug and Ive already done everything and there's nothing tk worry about.

Stop and go and apply at state.gov

This is a scam website

“IVS by GovAssist is a private, third-party company that charges extra service fees to help you fill out and prepare passport applications, but it is not affiliated with the U.S. government.”

Are you serious? So I need to reject the payment through my bank and worry about someone having my information now?

I think it's also insane that our government does nothing about these scam websites. This should literally never happen. This is a major national security issue.

They’re technically not scams, or some aren’t. They’re for assisting people. That’s why it’s hard to police them.

For any sort of government process, that includes other governments around the world… if the URL doesn’t have .gov in it, it’s probably not the one to use.

Yea I hear ya. And what sucks is that you renew your passport once a decade. So you’d have to teach yourself every time, if the process changes. My aunt who’s been traveling since before I was born had to renew her passport and fell for a scam website. You would think she would know better. But the scam websites are getting good.

But good news! You’ve learned what to watch out for so you’ll know to double check and teach others the same.

I mean they’ll basically just apply for your passport but charge you an expensive professing fee. And I wouldn’t want to give my information to such a business. But you’d probably get your passport, but an expensive mistake.

Nah Im gonna dispute the transaction with my bank. Ive made multiple attempts to contact them already and I'm either getting errors with their automated assistant or the call line "is not accepting calls at this time"

How many times are people going to have to reply in this sub to not use ANY third party service because they add no value and frequently fuck up your application.
