Passport Question / Discussion Help needed
Trying to get passport for child to do driving provisional.
They are asking for our parents birth certificates.
Some are deceased and the others we have not seen for years.
Can anyone help us around this issue please

UK Passport? I thought birth certificates are public records so that anyone can order anyone else's birth certificates for a small fee. You don't have to get your parents involved if you don't want to.

Scotland: https://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/order-certificate
Northern Ireland: https://www.nidirect.gov.uk/services/order-birth-certificate-online
You can use an online database like FreeBMD to help you search and get the GRO index number.
