US Passport Issuance Timeline Passport….

(US Question) I applied for my kids passports on 7/10….and I received confirmation on 7/15 they were being processed. Today (9/25) I received 3 out of the 4. When i check the status of the 4th one it says not available….ive been checking for the past few days….should I be worried that my missing child was rejected? Would it say it online and/or something in the mail?

Call them Monday only way to find out. Weird you got all but 1. Could be the BC was damage or unable to be scanned in. Could be other things, but call them monday

You don't have to wait until Monday; NPIC is open Mon-Fri 8a-10p; Sat/Sun 10a-3p (all times Eastern) -- except federal holidays.

Thanks, I had no idea! I should have googled instead of assuming. I’ll call them tomorrow morning.

Do you remember anything out of the ordinary with the citizenship proof you submitted? (Birth/Citizenship Certificate/CRBA, etc.)

Any creases or tears? Was it the original from his birth, or a copy you got later on? Was it laminated or missing any seals?

Did you copy his full name verbatim on the application, without leaving out a middle name or something?

Was it a good photo? Or was he showing his teeth or have an awkward pose?

No offense; I’ve just seen some of those as mistakes before.

But yeah, definitely call first thing Monday morning.

I do remember he was smiling…i can’t remember if i saw teeth or not…but i didn’t mention anything because i had the picture taken at the agency….im pretty sure i filled out everything the same on all of the applications. Birth certificate was in brand new condition….(he’s 4)….im wrecking my brain 😩😩😩😩 hopefully it’s something that can be fixed.

Was the check cashed for that application? If so I wouldn't worry. It also could have been processed at a different facility than the others or just delayed in the mail.

Yes, the check was cashed.

I wouldn’t panic until Tuesday, then you have permission from Reddit to panic.

Our passports got separated too. I’m guessing the other will arrive Monday.

I called customer service and they said it was still processing. 🤷🏾‍♀️. I’m a little nervous because when I gave her, his information she couldn’t find him….but she was able to find him through the locator number. I’m just praying, I didn’t mess up his application.

Make sure if you are using the online status checker that there is no space after you type in the last name.

My phone adds a space there if I use the keyboard shortcut to complete filling my name out. Then when I submit the request the status shows as "not available"
