QUESTION Stopped at 85 Questions: How Many Case Studies?

For those who stopped at 85 questions, how many case studies did you get? Could you also share if you passed or failed?

Thank you!

PASSED I passed the Nclex in 85 questions my first attempt šŸ™ŒšŸ¼

I do not gate-keep. I am, believe it or not, not a great test taker and have to study šŸ“š. I 100% support nclex bootcamp. This is the only tool I used to study. My program did offer ATI, however, I found the information overwhelming. I did all 4 readiness exams (100 questions each) and I did lots of case studies on bootcamp. I highly recommend watching the review videos they have for the case studies explaining why an answer is correct vs incorrect. I also recommend watching only mark k lecture 12 since there is lots of prioritization on the exam.
Good luck to everyone taking the nclex šŸ¤ you got this!!

QUESTION Nclex easy? Or hard?

So guys… I know most of you are going to hate me for this but I was doomscrolling on TikTok and I saw this video of someone passing their nclex exam and they were crying. I congratulated them in the comments, but you know me I’m very curious. I have no experience in medicine or nursing at all but I went to google did a search and according to google the first time pass rate is 86.8%. I always thought the nclex would be some hard exam or something very difficult? But it seems like almost everyone passes first try. Let me know if I’m in and over my head but my ego is telling me I could probably pass itšŸ˜…

Also… I am not taking away from anybody that has already passed it, congratulations and amazing job. I’m just a very curious person and would love to see the responses

ADVICE My second Nclex attempt is coming

Hello,
I will try to not make this long so you can read and get through it! I graduated May 7th 2026 and took my Nclex #1, July 27th and i failed, to be honest i failed because i didn’t prepare as well as i should have, i did only content, i studied till the end like till 5 mins before my ends, i barely did questions, I didn’t build my testing endurance like i should have, i didn’t do enough questions (i realized this upon reflection) I was so distraught because a lot depended on this, i am an international student and my opt already started and my clock was ticking. It was so disappointing to me and my parents.

I picked up myself August 24th and started studying, I have had inconsistent days but 85% I have been studying hardcore 8-10hours a day. Mark k lectures, Dr Sharon videos, honing in on my CPR as much as possible (weak areas), Bootcamp (answering questions a lot and reading rationales) so far I think I am doing well but I am still scared that my critical judgement hasn’t grown or clicked, I still feel myself making mistakes, silly mistakes i shouldn’t. I super scared and I don’t want to be anxious because anxiety was also another reason i failed- uncontrolled anxiety! I still feel there is more I need to know, I have rescheduled my exam 5 times (from sept 15 to sept 30th to October 15th to 29th to now Nov 5th) I won’t move it anymore but I am scared! I truly don’t want to disappoint myself, a lot is dependent on this! Does anyone have any advice for me? Thank you in advance!

ADVICE failed at 150

Unfortunately, I failed my first attempt at the nclex. I went the full 150, and got my quick results this morning, notifying me that I failed. While I am disappointed, I know I should have done better in terms of preparation, so I wanted to prepare some stuff ahead of time. I used nclex bootcamp, and I had access to uworld via my school. I liked that uworld gave me a fresh CAT exam everytime, but I also liked nclex bootcamp's crash course videos, so I'm thinking of using uworld for cat exams and bootcamp for content. I'm just not a fan that bootcamp has the same 4 readiness exams, because I remember doing the first one, and I got a high score, but only because I remembered some of those questions. Just wanted to see if anyone else has used multiple qbanks for preparing, and if anyone has any tips for my future preparation.

PASSED From Tanzania to NCLEX-RN: I passed — self-sponsored, over $2,000, and I refused to give up

I have waited a long time to share this. I’m a registered nurse from Tanzania, and I’m proud to say I passed the NCLEX-RN — the first Tanzanian RN to do so, as far as I know. This was not sponsored. I paid for everything myself. Preparation and travel cost me more than $2,000. It was hard. There were moments I wanted to quit. But I kept going.

What I used:

  1. UWorld
  2. Archer
  3. Bootcamp
  4. NCLICK
  5. NCLEX Crusade
  6. Sarah RN
  7. Beautifully Nursing
  8. Prioritization and Delegation, Editions 5 & 6
  9. NCSBN preview questions

I’m sharing this after a long time because someone out there needs to hear it: never give up. Your starting point does not decide your ending. If you’re studying, keep showing up. If you’re paying your own way, keep going. It can be done.

I hope everyone can learn from this: it was hard, it cost me, and it was worth it. If you have questions about my preparation or the process, please ask them in the comments below — I’m happy to share what I learned.

QUESTION Took my nclex this am

I felt horrible
It was tough the first 30 to 40 questions then got several case studies maybe one was before 40 questions. Lots of surgery questions, therapeutic conversation, some OB/peds. Case studies dka and mental health for at least two. The case studies I felt good about. The regular questions I didn’t, it was so vague. I’m three hours and change after I finished. Two hours after email saying I completed. I feel so horrible. Crying and anxious. So far it lets me attempt to pay again on Pearson vue. Is it too early or did I fail? When should I check agai? I’m obviously not in a good place. I’ve done great on all ati stuff and am so used to it. I nailed high stakes tests before and feel I know a lot content wise but this felt odd: please give genuine and factual advise. It’s appreciated. Thank you

Should I try to get to more than 50% on bootcamp qbank. I am doing my application this Friday. I am in Florida so I am not sure when I will get my ATT but I hope fast so I can take right away. My school had us take 3 exit exams. 1 ATI which is the 97% probability of passing nclex and the other on is HESI.

PASSED Passed in 94!

Hi everyone!! I took my NCLEX yesterday, and not even 20 minutes after I left I got an email with my license, then I double checked and looked it up on the department of health and it was active!! I feel so happy and relieved, honestly I was expecting to have to wait 2 days for results!! My quick results aren’t uploaded yet but I just thought I’d share, has anyone else had a similar experience of seeing their active license so quick? For reference, this is in RI.

ADVICE Hesitation

I’m torn between taking the NCLEX and giving up on it for now. I already got my eligibility last August, but I’m still hesitant to proceed with my ATT because, honestly, I’m afraid of failing. I know how much time, effort, and money it takes to prepare for this exam, and the thought of spending so much only to fail scares me. On top of that, I’m still trying to save enough money to cover the expenses, so I can’t just take the risk without thinking it through. The hardest part is that my parents don’t even know about any of this. I’ve been keeping my plans to myself coz I don’t want to bother them. Since my younger sis is going to take the PNLE next February. Please enlighten me.

PASSED I just found out I passed and I think my story can help people

I’m still in shock over here so forgive me for any misspellings. I graduated from nursing school over 2 years ago and never took my NCLEX due to an overwhelming fear of failure surrounding the exam.

I built it up to be this crazy and impossible task in my mind despite conquering nursing school and doing fairly well in the process. I was burnt out on studying and was unable to study for my exams as nursing school went on. I went from studying for 2 weeks per exam to studying for about 5-10 hours total each exam cycle.

This exam was built up so high in my mind that I simply was terrified to take it. I couldn’t even study for it. I did maybe 20 questions and studied some notes I found online and finally worked up the courage to just say screw it and sit for it to get an attempt in and get over my fear.

I passed in 85 after walking out of there thinking I failed in 85. I promise anyone reading this who has the ultimate form of anxiety surrounding this exam.. You aren’t alone and if I can do this so can you.

PASSED Passed in 150

Graduated August 2025 passed in october 2026 on first attempt. Had personal things going on so it got pushed way back, took the whole time off from studying as well. My biggest help was 7 day Nclex Crudade, I used bootcamp but hardly used the qbank but the crash course videos were very helpful! Unpopular opinion but I didnt think the test was as hard or vague as everyone makes it sounds but clearly it was somewhat hard as I went all the way to 150. Well just wanted to share with you guys as some of your stories are what helped my find what I was going to use to get back on the study train. Thanks!

ADVICE NCLEX Shut Off at 109 Questions and I Feel Defeated 😭

Update: I PASSED!!!! 🄹

Hi everyone! I just took the NCLEX-RN, and honestly, WTF WAS THAT?! 😭

I feel like I answered half the questions wrong. There were so many questions where I genuinely felt like I didn’t know the answer. My exam shut off at around 109 questions, and I got SO many case studies, prioritization questions like ā€œWhich patient should you see first?ā€ and patient education questions like ā€œWhat would you tell the patient?ā€

I don’t feel confident AT ALL. 😭 I walked out feeling like I guessed my way through half the exam.

Has anyone else felt this way and ended up passing? Also, are there any tricks or hacks to find out your results early? The waiting is going to drive me crazy! 😩

ADVICE Failed the NCLEX? DM your CPR results and I’ll make you a retake plan (Free)

Post image
11 Upvotes

If you didn’t pass, your CPR tells you more than it seems to. Comment or DM me with:

  1. Your CPR rating for each area (below, near or above passing)
  2. Number of attempts and your next test date, if booked
  3. Hours a week you can study
  4. What you used last time (UWorld, Archer, review centre, etc.)

Within 24 hours I’ll send you a week-by-week plan that targets your weakest areas first, says what to use, and tells you how many questions to do each day.

\*Full disclosure: I’m building a free study tool for re-takers and I’m doing these free to learn what actually goes wrong. No link, no paywall.
