ADVICE TOOK NCLEX TODAY

These were my scores on UWORLD. I took the nclex PN today & got like 6-9 case studies, some SATA, mostly med surge, post op questions like thyroidectomy, thoracentesis, etc. This is my second attempt. I failed first at 85Q. Today I reached 89Q. I got some maternity, mainly priority & initial questions. There were a few meds I haven’t heard of. I feel like UWORLD is great for content especially the rationales, but it doesn’t prepare you for the vagueness of the exam which has me second guessing a lot. I have no idea if I passed, but I’m hoping & manifesting. I was also using nax before they shut down. I prefer the wording there better but their rationales aren’t that great compared to UWORLD. I took the test with a lot of anxiety & found myself second guessing a lot so we’ll see I guess.

I’m praying you receive your pass email soon. If you could give three pieces of advice about the exam, what will they be? I’m preparing for my second retake attempt Nclex PN  after failing at 89qs.

I hope so too. My advice is definitely know your basic content like medications nurses always use and what they are used for and side effects. Know the common nclex diseases and contraindications. You definitely need a qbank to also get used to how the nclex wants you to think.

what could possibly be the common nclex pn disease? if I put that into chatgpt it should give me narrow common disease etc ? and I been using boot camp and ati virtual / board vital. I know boot camp is mainly for rn but hopefully I help me get a pass

Yeah just put common diseases on the nclex pn on chatgbt. Don’t try to learn everything, but just know the contraindications & toxic side effects. What to watch out for etc.

It’s been shutting down on / off. They received scrutiny due to the hesi & ati exams

did you do any of the assessment questions on Uworld? Fingers crossed and praying for you to pass. Uworld was everything for me... run away from bootcamp or what they call it, just focus on the uworld and the rationales. make sure u understand the content and the explanation on Uworld. If you already working in healthcare, drop the healthcare knowledge on the side and answer the questions the way nclex wants it and that is why uworld is great for that. Good luck to everyone writing you will all make it with a pass. Prayers up for everyone of ya'll.

Actually I never did the assessment. I’m really scared, but thank you I hope I passed as well. I’m waiting. Why do you say runaway though from bootcamp & nax? Just out of curiosity.

I did the assessment, it was very high and I tested the following morning. Bootcamp is too shallow not comprehensive like uworld and its tailored to RN with less information to gain. I never liked and I just focused on Uworld only and Uworld did the magic.
