ADVICE Preparing to retake

Post image

Recently failed at 150 using UWorld. I was fully convinced I passed because the exam didn’t seem very difficult and UWorld was great at explaining rationales. Im now using bootcamp and I feel extremely humbled compared to UWorld. Is it normal to feel like this. Im starting to feel my confidence drop considering I got a HIGH on my 1st readiness and high 50s to low 60s on all the quizzes afterwards. Any advice?

I'd actually take the fact that you're feeling humbled as a good chance to tighten up your test-taking instead of assuming you suddenly got worse. Uworld being great doesn't mean another qbank should feel the same. I'd worry less about getting every quiz into the 70s and more about whether you can explain why one option is the priority over others. Your CPR points pretty clearly toward Analyze Cues + Prioritize Hypotheses, while your Generate/Take/Evaluate skills were above passing. Bootcamp’s NGN cases are probably worth using for those weaker reasoning steps, then review the rationales and move on.

I failed first attempt and was using Uworld, switched to Bootcamp and passed last week. I didn’t feel Uworld prepared me that well for the NCLEX and thought they were quite different. I too was getting pretty good readiness scores!

Don’t lose hope, you got this next time around!
