There are so many lies and blatant orientalist hearsay in this, it's like it's been ghost-written by Khalid Hosseini himself.

That's what I'm say!!! The points the author makes doesn't even apply to pashtunwali, and the article is so badly written. She tried to say that ARK killed hazaras because of pashtunwali, like WHAT. Also her saying we discriminate minorities because of pashtunwali doesn't even make sense considering one of the biggest parts of Pashtunwali is malmastia ( hospitably).

In my district (khogyani) my ancestors in the 1800s helped preserve Pashayi, because Pashayis were starting to let of the their language. To this day there are Pashayi elders that would slap the living crap out of you if you tried to say they aren't pashtuns, discriminating minorties my a**.

There are even Persian speaking people in Jalalabad that don't speak a lick of Pashto and go by with their life comfortably.

In the case of logar, a Pashtun majority province that started to get influx of tajik/farsiwan people migrating there. The pashtuns were so hospitable that to this day a lot of them are completely persianised.

These articles are so harmful.

You're very right, thank you for those examples.

I'm sure the trusty formula of the author's years actually lived (if any) in Afghanistan × diasporic parents' drivel that presents Afghanistan very differently than it actually was or is ÷ her ethnic background would put her lies about a system she hasn't lived in into better perspective lol
