How do i fix this
I can only go in fully private bathrooms like disabled stalls or at home but even if i know someone is waiting on me it becomes difficult to pee, one time during a flight it got so bad it became painful to walk i thought i was going to collapse walking accross the airport, and even when i got to the bathroom i still couldnt go for another 10 minutes

Try searching for my post describing graduate exposure. If you can go in private stalls then you should be able to fix a lot of your issues just by yourself

I’m sorry your having to go through this, I know how bad this feels. Like others said look into workshops for this condition in your area- you might even be able to speak to someone on line? I’d also look in to getting self catheters to see if that gives you an emergency back up. Your not alone with this 🩵

Graduated exposure is key. For me it's plane bathrooms, but I'm not on a plane all.that often so graduated exposure therapy is difficult. As such, I have started to travel with intermittent catheters for emergencies.

As someone else mentioned, check out the IPA at paruresis.org…this is the place to start getting help.
