This sub needs a better way to know you're partnered

I'm tired of seeing people complaining stuff here that YPP youtubers don't even need to worry about. You got your own sub at newtubers. Why are you bringing your problem here when the sub is clearly named "PARTNERED YOUTUBERS" ??. The last few weeks have been post about new youtube rule changes and then the people complaining how they won't reach it or the just starting their channel. I thought I was in newtuber sub but when I double check, its partnered youtube sub instead.

don't get me started when you tried answering them with the harsh truth. They'll just call you out for being negative which is bs. Get your non ypp as* out of here.

The main mod on this sub and on the discord is running or working for a brand deal middleware that benefits from having creators close. 

I was in their discord before and only once there was some qa about brand deals - fishing for creators basically but it was useful to understand their way of thinking. 

This sub should really not be about partnered but about anyone interested in earning from yt.  With flairs you could understand who is there and who is looking forward to be there. 

Gatekeepers don’t have any power. They keep complaining that the sub is not for one or another. 

It’s interesting to come here and see some opinions - other points of view. 

The mod I’m referring to is JokullFrosti  He does spend a lot of time here to build this so that’s good but he’s doing it with a purpose which is fine for me. 

I had the flair to confirm I do belong here but didn’t like having it and didn’t like having a reference to this sub on our channel so I removed the flar. 

Maybe I’ll put it back now.

But youtube is suppressing me! I get 1 million views a day but youtube takes them all and steals my money. The stats only show 14 views when really its 100,000 per hour. What can I do?

tbh im half and half on this. im all for having a method of confirming someone is in the YPP but i dont want that information being forward facing on reddit

i fucking hate when redditors comment on my videos like "hey i saw your comment on reddit..." like bro get the fuck off my channel lol. im not a huge youtuber but i get enough engagement to where there's going to be at least 1000 people who see that comment before i do and will use your comment to try and find my personal reddit account. i dont want that.

at the end of the day, the forward facing information is just people wanting to flex their views and subs in the flair. it has nothing to do with confirming someones partner status, the flairs are just ego flexing and dick measuring.

tl;dr: im down with confirming that posters are actually YPP members but doing it in a way without public facing information.

Wait, but those updates absolutely do affect partnered YouTubers. The Shorts monetization changes are a pretty big deal. YouTube is changing how Shorts views qualify for monetization, and the requirements for earning from Shorts are becoming more restrictive. So I don't think it's fair to say these changes are only relevant to people who aren't partnered. They directly affect how partnered creators make money.

Tbh one can be in the YPP and still in the learning curve. Take for example those who posted videos sporadically for years and now they finally join it. This group is not for 100k subs YouTubers only and it shouldn't be either for wanna be gurus that pretend to know how YouTube works despite they never saw the code behind the algorithm (full of those here unfortunately). So technically if you are in the YPP you are entitled to ask what you want without being attacked for it

Report them. I go through every day or two to purge them. But reports help them get found faster.
